Have they done the grading yet for each club?

A+ for anyone who actual completed 2 trades
B for any club that traded a player
C for trading picks
D for do nothing.
Sometimes its best to just say and do nothing.

For those that are having a whinge that we did nothing in the trade period or weren’t aggressive enough, Do you guys realise that the salary cap for next year hasn’t been finalised yet by the AFL....
It’s what kept most clubs quiet.
AFL is truly run by amateurs in the context of world sport.
Amen to that ..good post Arch

I think it was Mr Brightside who posted earlier about how St Kilda might be interested in our 3rd rounders to get to two Academy players, they have a claim to.

Not sure but hopefully we are committed to 5 picks and the following is an option.
Our future 1st +38 and 40, a total of 2438 points based on position finish this year, for their pick 9 and future 2nd, 2172 points.
A bet they may not be prepared to make?

I stand to be corrected but to make room we would need to delist 2 of our currently un contracted players possibly Garth and Egg, and transfer 2 others from the main to the rookie list.

Additionally there is Caddy who wasn't traded but might be moved on if a deal can be struck in regard to his remaining contract. One way or another I don't think he stays.

So 7, 9, 15, 26 and 28. Thinking Tarrant, 7 Johnson, 9 Rachele, 15 Sonsie, 26 Taylor and 28 Alleer.

Get the best mid with 9

Grab a small forward with x-factor with one of the next two picks

A huge risk to trade our future first.
I would only be keen if it gets us top 3 this year, not something so late

It is a risk no doubt and appreciate your view.

The circumstances are very unusual, with the likelihood that Covid will again impact junior football next year and quite possibly not just in Victoria.
Causing more and even greater uncertainty about player prospects than we have now.

Also this draft looks to be very very good.
Possibly getting access to a particular target like Rachele this year, rather than a less certain choice next, would be the major consideration. And we would get back their future 2nd.

I was trying to work though the whole trade period after the pick swap with the pies

In- Pick 27, Tarrant and North's 2nd rounder from 2022 (likely to be low 20s.)
out- Chol, CCJ, picks 42 and 47 and our 3rd and 4th rounders from 2022.

I think that is right. What do we think?

How many list spots do we have open?

Looks like we are taking 5 in the main draft. I don't feel like 5 spots opened up.

We have 7 on the main list. None on the rookie. We have promised to re-rookie Biggie and Cumberland so 2 rookies need to be promoted, leaving 5 live picks available. If we trade up, we could take 4 and promote 3 rookies and then either take someone in the PSD / rookie draft or leave open for the SSP.
