I hope GWS take him with Pick 2. I don’t want us to have the option of taking him.

As a guide, how much did Luke Jackson weigh in at when the Dees took him a couple of years ago?

It never ceases to amaze that people obsess over and knock young big men for being skinny. They don't come out of the womb built like plugger.

Unless he is Brad Ottens forget about it.
We don't draft ruckman (even when we do they walk out or they're king duds)
We usually wait for other clubs to develop them and then we trade for them.
I can't see us drafting a ruckman period

Thats a huge weight gain in a year, must have been smashing some gym work out in there.

Could be a game changer for picking him up. An 18 year old at 70kg versus an 18 year old at 80kgs is a huge difference.

I think it will get a few more clubs interested now , Not a fan of picking up Ruckman with 1st round picks but a late pick like our 15 (17) might be ok if he lasts that long but i think if the gWS rumours are correct then they will take him with #13. Cant imagine #2

No surprise around that weight gain. The 70 kegs was at the start of the year - that's a long time ago for a growing tall his age. He looked bigger than 70Kg as well.

Talls with his elite traits - athleticism, pace, leap, one touch, balance, dual sided and can impact games rightly go early.

You'd think he'll be gone by our pick which is a shame. He could be a star that can set your team up for a decade i.e. Luke Jackson

He'll be a forward as well, doubt ruck comes until later in his career if at all.

If you reckon he'll cut it as a forward then he's worth the coin, Max King went at that pick so the standard needs to be high.

I reckon The kings will be good players but McKay will be the best of the lot And Doggle Hagan will be a bust

Im looking squarely at Mac as KP type.
His ability or agility I should say is very good.
His marking again is very good.
Some of his forward plays are mouth watering in terms of getting a tall forward.
I'll also add anyone thinking stats tell the story with this kid needs to understand he plays forward, BACK and ruck.
If thats not enough in a 200cm prospect lets just add his disposal is well above average and has already played against VFL/ AFL players and performed admirably.

Forward line of Lynch Riewoldt and Mac as the 3rd tall?

Still think he would be better at our second pick, I'm guessing he will take some time, then you get the sharks circling looking for a peripheral tall to sign on a fat contract. These lessons have already played out with Chol & CCJ.

At pick 15, I'm all in, not that I think he will get past GWS but if we manage to move up the order then he must become a consideration.

Sharks always circle the talent and its actually a good situation to be in, it means you have some talent.
On CCJ and Chol I don't believe either were critical to going forward.
I actually think losing Chol is a bigger loss than CCJ and I'm not fussed on losing Chol.
Our KPF cupboard is close to being baron after losing two fringe players.
I agree Mac wont be there @ 15-17 and I don't want to see our pick 7 & 15 turn into a singular pick that might only be worth a mere 4-5 jump in the order selection.
Pick 15 will still net a quality player IMO and should be off the table unless we can generate a few more pegs up the order with out losing our 5 selections this year.
Happy to lose 15 and a pick in 20's if we get left with 9-13 & a pick in the 40-50 range coming back just don't want the 2 for 1 pick scenario.

Fair chance Jaaack might be well n truly retired before Mac n cheese would be ready for senior footy. Perhaps Lynchman, Delilah n Mac in 2023 /4. Followed by Delilah n Mac n cheese after that. Pending Mac getting to us n both the youngsters making it at senior level of course.

I see your point TM but the opposition would still need to defend a 200cm marking forward with their 3rd tall.
Not saying he's the same type by any means but Luke Jackson has only just turned 20 and has 30 games under the belt and a premiership medallion around his neck.
Not every tall needs to develop in the magoo's especially when you have 2 of the best tall forwards already in the line up.

True, but Jackson was about 95 kegs not sky rocketing from 70 up to 80 kegs. Occasionally kids are ready to go from day one, but not very often. We've just seen Cholly n Cujo hovering around the mark for a few years without really being able to establish themselves and seen exactly what can happen to a tall youngster in Delilah who's nowhere near ready n chucked into a game situation that was totally unsuitable.
Reckon there might be one or two kids get to play a dozen or more games next year n probably around a dozen kids that will be lucky to eke out around one to six games for the season. They've had massive disruptions to their development the last two years and are going to need heaps of development work.
Most years the kids are a combination of N.A.B. school and local comp footy, playing usually a couple of games a week plus training sessions and some lunch time kick to kick with mates. They're usually non stop footy, but the last two years has smashed that scenario.
