The way I see it we have a very tight list, not many other players we could have pushed to the rookie list and risked losing.
Maybe the club thought he is still aways off and needs 2-3 more years of development, which would keep other clubs at bay.

Hope he stays and we rerookie, terrific athletic profile and competitive.

Not real sure about Biggie n only seen him in a couple of televised magoos games. Seemed to lurk around in areas where the ball wasn't at times, mis reading of play, or losing his opponent at the wrong time??
Plenty of skills that kids can be taught as they're developing, but reading how passages of play are unfolding from further down the field seems to me to be more instinctive, rather than taught.

If he gets rookied he can run that out for up to 3 years.

If he gets a Darft contract thats only a guarantee of 2 more.

Biggie was out there early today but didn't train and disappeared after warm up.

Not even when he was suspended for headbutting?
I never saw the headbutt but cant comment on stupidity. The few games I saw him he just did not seem to be up for it. Floated around.

Key defenders and Forwards in my mind have to want to impact and hurt at the contest. I just dont see it with Biggy and I dont think you can teach it.

He came back after about 90 mins. Not onto the track but I saw him walk back into the rooms, from outside, with a club official. There was an event at the KGI as well and it looked like he may have been helping out with that.

My guess is that he,s not allowed to train with the players as he,s not on the official list.
But he can use the facility, so he warms up and then does gym work.

Think I read someone like Butler,s brother did that too

Good for Biggie to put his toe in the water outside the club to gauge interest and decide he wants to stay at Punt Road so lets hope this year he gets the chance to show his early promise

Looks like Biggy dosent have a lot of fans at punt rd ,I’m a fan not like im a Gibbo fan who I can see been an 8 time AA , this kid has genuine talent , yes his laconic, however I don’t think he lacks intensity, just like Gibbo I see Tarrant as been an extremely good educator to the boys , in fact alll of a sudden I see our back half looking like it has the most depth on the list.

Don't think he had many toes in the water, who can tell!
The club shifted him to the rookie list, so it could have been covering all bases. It's smart to protect himself.

But yes I'd love to see him debut in 22.
Just a taster game or 2

Biggy has been extremely unlucky

* Covid impacted seasons
* Injuries
* Suspension

Kid is a freak of an athlete and shows massive upside in little glimpses
Hopefully we get a decent season of VFL to get games and development
He has 3 years on the rookie list now so enough time to develop properly without pressure

Only 20 years old and starting his career , We just need to consider him like a Leek Alleer

As a remind of his athleticism:

Nyuon recorded a 92cm running and 73cm standing vertical leap, as well as a 2.86-second 20m sprint and 8.24-second agility test.
