If only I had the slightest passing interest in AFLW...
You should, though, because it works the other way around. Mother son. Not sure if the games requirement, but given they play less games you’d think it would be significantly lowered.

Does anybody have any insights into possible Tiger father / son's over the next few years? Are here any boys in junior football ranks showing any promise?
Im bring back Ben Holland's so he can play another 92 games so we can pick up his kids.
**That goal against Freo shouldve given him Life Membership to the club

you might when you see our 2040 premiership team with Richo and Riewoldt teaming up in the forward line, Gaspar, Houli and Newman down back and Deledio and Cotchin controlling the midfield.

Brett Deledio 3 daughters. Chris Newman 3 daughters. Jack 2 daughters. Trent 2 daughters (& Parker). Bachar Houli 2 daughters. Richo 2 daughters. 15 children between them and 1 son. You wouldn’t read about it.

Lucky our premiership ruckman Grigga has 2 sons.

Joel Bowden's son would have to be about 14 or 15 now. Is he playing up in Darwin?

I don't know if anyone here has read One Hundred Years of Solitude (you should, it's epic) , but I'm envisaging a 17 Aurelianos situation with Dustin.

Doesnt Shaun Hampson have some sons?
I think he fell short of required games played though. Anything to get Megan back to the club ;)

Years ago they did lower the requirement to 50, but they changed it back fairly quickly.
Years ago there wasn't a minimum games requirement at all for father sons. Then they brought in fifty games n then bumped it to a hundred n then dropped in a *smile* ant 20% points discount on draft value. Hardly worth the effort of meeting all the criteria these days for the " romance " of father son selection.

I tend to agree. With how hard and complicated they’ve made it, they may as well have done away with the concept altogether.

On 2022 VFL list
DNQ for father/son

Harrison Bourke

23/03/2003, 200cm, 80kg, ruck/key forward

Grandson of the great Francis Bourke and son of David, Harrison is a young, raw ruck/key forward. Hungry to improve and learn, Harry can only benefit from a VFL pre-season as he develops his craft.
