Thanks TBR. Very interesting wording in that article. Nonetheless, you are correct, I probably should have said perceived relationship b/w the vaccine and the adverse event.

A point to note is that the data contained in the notification reports received by the TGA is first coded and analysed in the internal TGA system simply to determine safety signals before being made available in the public facing system. Based on my understanding, these reports do not have the all the data necessary to fully assess the safety of the medicine or vaccine. It is therefore strange to me that the TGA spokeswoman would say that a "Review of individual reports and patterns of reporting does not suggest the vaccines played a role in these deaths”.

Clearly, a significant amount of global safety data is starting to accumulate this requires serious investigation. Patterns are emerging. IMO there is much, much work to do before anyone can determine whether the reporting of these events is, or is not a "coincidental association" with the vaccines.

More importantly, due to the voluntary nature of the reporting process, I think it would be fair to suggest that adverse events are actually being under reported.
At least you acknowledged you used the statistics disingenuously. Unfortunately it makes it difficult to trust much else you pontificate on.

Or not...

Doesn’t sound like many of them were entering the Hawaiian Ironman any time soon

Following the deaths, the Norwegian Institute of Public Health updated its Covid-19 vaccination guide with more detailed advice on inoculating elderly people who are frail or terminally ill.

No skin in the game. Just trying to engage in mature debate in order to make sense of the madness.

I reported the figures that were presented after doing a basic search of DAEN (Jan 2021 to Nov 2021). Not my figures. Anyone can do this. No doubt you came up with the same figures after doing your own search. The figures clearly suggest patterns. There is much further global scientific work underway to investigate these patterns here and elsewhere in the world. The book has not closed.

My error was to incorrectly suggest that there "needs to be a causal link to the vaccine" rather than more correctly suggesting that "there needs to be a perceived causal link to the vaccine" in order for the adverse event to be recorded. Reckon medical practitioners recording these events would not be doing so lightly.

You are correct on one point though, be very careful who you trust......as I do!

So why bother posting something that you haven't actually read and digested properly? And pass it off as fact? You intimated there had been almost as many deaths from vaccine reactions as from covid which is simply *smile*. Don't now pretend you're simply trying to make sense of the madness.

I'd argue you're more trying to muddy the waters.

I really do hope it stings Murphy for years and years to come. Nobody got in the faces of our Tiger boys more than he did after the 2013 Elimination Final.
He really dished it out.
Nice that he was never on a winning team against us since and Cotchin took great delight in reminding him during those games.

Love to see Micky's purple face after this, although I agree with Murphy. Should've stayed with Ratts.
Now, I am no expert but I'm sure the more learned could identify perhaps some slanderous accusations in that article.

But along with our tragic result in the '13 EF in losing a final to the team outside the 8, may I also ask how did this mob beat us by some 14 goals in that first round in '12?

Disunity is death.

Malthouse was on the Kreuzer bus apparently rather than Hyundai!

Easy to be slappin in the media years later, but what's the point? Maybe Smurf should've put the big boy pants on n made some noise years ago.

What's the old saying again? Put up or shut up, Smurf's managed neither till it was all too late.

Agree totally but it gives a few chances to embarrass Carlton supporters in some way.

I'm double vax'd as of Tuesday last week.

I had my first shot 12 weeks earlier (Astrazenica) and within 2 hours was reporting to emergency with breathing issues (not as symptom of Astrazenica).

I'm a fit person, a bloody fit person. I've always been aboe to run 15k's at 4 minute k pace, even without having run for extended periods of time. When we were playing other forums in footy games, a lot of comments were posted on here about my physique. My build today was literally identical (6ft 2 and 94kg, 32 inch waist). I'm now 84kf, 10kg down in 12 weeks. but even now, 12 weeks after that first shot, i can't do anything physical without gassing out. How long this will last i'm not sure.

Basically, within 2 hours, i noticed a reduced capacity in my left lung. Right side seemd ok. It wasn't overly distressing, but any physical labor and i am getting light headed and neding to go to my knees for oxygen.

To say i was aprehensive about the second shot is an understatement.

I was due for the second shot 6 weeks later, but put it off for as long as i could whilst i had tests done, chest x-rays, bloods icg etc.

When i returned to my doctor he said "I'm going to print these result out for you because the results are off the charts" and went on to say it's like my results were mixed up with those of a 20 yr old athlete. It wasn't really what i wanted to hear. I was lke "If things are that good, why can't i raise a gallop now"?

Anyway, with much trepidation i went and had the second shot last Tuesday. I didn't notice my breathing get any worse than it already was. I had the shot at 10am. By 4pm i noticed tightness in my shoulders and neck. By 6pm i had a thumping headache. As i type this now, the headache is still there. Yesterday i consulted Virtual ED and over video conference went over the symptoms. In the back of my mind was clotting, but i felt that was unlikely as the area bulging up in my neck isn't extremely warm and it came on too quickly to really be clotting. The person on the other end of the conference suspects a gland in my neck has swollen and hit a nerve, causing the neck muscle to bunch up and cause the headaches. She suggested just to make sure, that i go to emergency. I basically aid "F... that", and have made an appointment with my ormal GP. At least i can trust that he is thorough.

I also have a client who is an AFLW player. One of her team mates canot train after taking Astrazeneca........ same symptoms as me, cannot raise a gallop without blowing up. So how i'm being told it's not a symptom is beyond me, i mean my social circles aren't that large and i know of one other already.

Interestingly when i had the ICG done, the nurse performing the test told me she'd already had 4 females present just that morning with abnormal heart rythm. This was literally before 11am. I know this issue mainly affects yoinger males, so i was surprised to hear that.

My brotrher in laws brothers son has been in hospital for over 5 weeks in a real bad way from Pfizer. I suspect he gets into steroids a bit so i wonder if there may have been a reaction because of that. I try to be balanced on this subject, but anyone who thinks the the $$$ from big Pharma are not controlling the narrative here are kidding themselves. Shareholders in these companies are rocketing up the world's richest lists as we speak.

The idea that we need to inject children with this is beyond a joke. Likewise, the idea that people who have recovered from Covid need to be vaccinated is equally laughable. Studies in Isreal and now elsewhere are showing natural immunity to be far higher than that of the vaccines. It just seems like the more arms the bigger the dollar signs.

They have a bit of history with kids too:

More food for thought re the bureaucrats who think they can run our lives better than we can ourselves:
I hope you are recovering now frick. I’m trying to recover from my booster while I read your post. In this pandemic I have wanted to do the respectful thing for my community without second guessing or projecting fear onto the vax process but that doesn’t always translate to good results.

Any chance covid debates and discussions could be conducted on dedicated thread?
Then again a thread on Carlton is probably as good a place as any

Hope you had better luck than me.

I haven't been on here much since the second shot because of the headaches.

My left lung is as *smile* as ever, though the headache situation has improved but still isn't 100%.

I won't be getting a booster to alleviate anyone elses fears i can assure you.

That's absolutely not correct.

If a patient has a legitimate reason to be at risk from the vaccine then the Doctor won't recommend it for them. Nor would a Doctor in the same position take the vaccine or be expected to.

Without that, any Doctor would recommend the vaccine to a patient and take it themselves because that is the medically sound course of action.
Yep. This poor lady from Melbourne has been told by her doc she won't be given a referral for a covid jab due to her anafalaxis, yet at the same time won't give her an exemption. She has tried to get an exemption through other means to no avail:
