Love KB to bits . Legend
Love Dusty to bits . Legend
People need to move on
Save our Skins campaign KB was one of the “ drivers “ along with Crowey and Jack Dyer who saved our club , that then gave Dusty the opportunity many years later to play at . Terrific fella is KB .
Well, he was the coach at the time.

spot on.

I can hold my head high

With a little help from @Tigers of Old I found the thread where the Chopstickgate saga raged. I thought there were only a handful towing KB's line, but those of us calling for restraint until all the facts come out were very much in the minority.

Well, he was the coach at the time.
What sort of comment is that ?
He was front and centre with the campaign! Only if you knew the great efforts of those behind the scenes. Pointless discussing any further

KB played in an era when you worked for a living and couldn't live off footy alone. Don't think he came from much money, can't blame a guy for being frugal. Many of his generation are the same. Yeh he's pig headed and never wrong but he's smart and funny (some don't like that) and does a fair bit behind the scenes no one hears about. One thing is he's a man of principle and no fake like some potting him.

I don't recall the public apology. What Bartlett did to Dusty in the media was an absolute disgrace.
You blokes are too harsh on KB. He luvs the club and players and always has. He made a mistake with Dusty but he has enough runs on the board to look past that.

If you want someone to hate with a passion then look no further than Gilligan and Shocking. Deliberately changed 3 rules in an attempt to bring us down:

1. Play on from fullback
2. 6 on 6 at all center bounces; and
3. Man on the mark rule.

Not to mention cheating us on the Brandon Ellis compo.

These guys are the real campaigners that deserve our wrath not a club legend like KB who has gone into bat for our club and players for the last 30 years apart from one occasion.

Its a shame people want to bring down one of our own instead of the a-holes that are the real issue for our club

Hah hah hah. His tight arse nature is legendary. An acute tight arse.
He might be a tight ass but he still dipped into his own pocket to fit out the gym and along with Neville Crowe saved our club from extinction. No Dusty Martin or x3 Premierships without him.

Yet he was quick too throw Dusty under the bus.
Why?
Wasn't he on radio then?
Ratings.
Man of principle my ass.

How much did he tip in ?

Got told by the management at SEN1116 to stop taking everyone’s food out of the fridge.

Chronic tight arse.

Caro did the same didn't she?

Though she's had quite a few takes on Dusty that have aged like milk. I remember she said that he wouldn't be marketable after he got neck tattoos...
I thought the same thing at the time. A Brownlow, multiple AA's, x3 Norm Smiths and x3 Premierships, a bad boy rep early days and a low key public profile haven't hurt his marketability since.

A lot more than Wallace and co.

If he touched Jabba the Hutch's food at SEN then no wonder he got boned.

Apparently it wasn't labelled, KB thought it was free.

Did that one occassion last for over 15 years, or is there something else I have missed?

KB is taking a bit of a hit here, but I can say that at a local football club golf day he was great, he stood all day at one hole (betting hole) was generous with his time and photo opportunities. He then entertained the crowd and then he donated all of his fee for the day back to the junior club (he didn't promote this, I heard it from their treasurer)

He's a good man. As is dusty. Probably best to leave it at that.

It must be the off season if we are discussing this stuff.

KB was and is a legend of RFC. An awesome player and the best finals player I had ever seen. I never thought I would see his equal as a finals player but then came Dusty.

I am privileged to have seen both of them in the yellow and black at the pointy end of the season.

Don’t know about the rest but I remember hating the way Dusty was tried and sentenced by so many before any facts were known. He isn’t the first that has happened to and unfortunately he won’t be the last.
