I'd love to know how Sonsie takes a mark, gets smashed in the head, and then gets a reverse 50 metre penalty.

There were no Footscray players in our D50... I can't think of any rule that would result in a free kick on the goal line in that situation.

Unless Sonsie's head hitting the Doggies player's fist was a free kick against, and then him collapsing is umpire abuse. That'd be very Richmond.

We've got a few players who can come into the Firsts and make us better. But only a few. We're really struggling for depth.

Sonsie is a definite player, possibly future A grader. Fast, big enough, skilled, elite vision and skills.
Brown looks like he could be a solid Vlastuin type, hopefully as good.
Soldo is as good a back up ruckman as you can hope for, possibly better.
Ryan is improving and has the tools to be a Lynch replacement - Stronger in the contest than he was and reading it better- but has a lot of work still to go.
Lambert, obvious present gun that we need in the firsts.
Stack still capable of elite x-factor things but seems to be struggling for impact (I'd play him in the Vlastuin role where he started and starred instead of starvation island).
Maurice is really on a knife's edge. He may not be up to it. But if he can clean up his use and composure, he could be a very good player.

Aside, I'd love to get Lefau on the list. I don't know whether he'd ever be good enough, but I almost don't care. He's like a Townsend with some creativity. Judson Clark and Sam Banks need a lot of time. RCD absolute bust.

Good summary.

Austin Johnson looks OK. Ryan has a lot of scope. Banks does some nice things.

Faimalo and Lefau have great athletic profiles.

RCD sometimes looks like he's playing his first game of footy ever.

The only thing consistent about VFL football is how bad and over umpired it is

Put the class of 2021 down as certain AFL footballers.

I like the move of Rioli to the midfield. Work in progress but definitely has the tools to succeed there.,

Very impressed with Banks, Brown, Sonsie and MRJ
Stack looked all class that quarter. Lambert was our best till halftime, not playing 2nd half.
Biggy also looking good and RCD was better than qtr also.
Judson Clarke has kicked 2 goals

Even with that holding the ball to Street, the umpire waited what seemed an eternity to give the free kick.

Roarke Smith doing a tap dance on the mark. No stand rule in VFL?

I've only seen about half the game but Nyuon seems to be improving with each outing.
