For those who saw them game what about MRJ? I only saw the highlights but he was fantastic in those. Great tackling and pressure and used the ball well.
I have tried to watch him pretty closely since his debut. I reckon he is coming on in leaps and bounds at the moment. It's not so much where he is now but the trajectory of his improvement that has me really excited.

Is there a VFL reserves team?
Just wondering what happens to VFL listed players that don’t get a game?
Curious about where players are south as Harrison Bourke and Patrick Balta, also Mate Collina?

There was VFL reserves, it was scrapped a few years back. It was called the development league, not all the VFL sides fielded a team in it.

I think the VFL listed players who don’t get a game play in the VAFA.

They can play anywhere but mostly suburban leagues.

Yeah l think he will be a really good player,l think he might be playing to instructions at the moment ,by sitting outside packs etc ,and they are using Rcd ,Martyn, etc to do the grunt work ,l think his next step will be to get more into the thick of the action ,he is tracking really well.

Last year he was seen as a small forward but I think that was just a reflection of his fitness level. Looks like a pure mid to me and I think that the club is developing him nicely in the VFL.

I think the club is as surprised as I am at the incredible improvement in Junior's running capacity over the off-season and in-season so far , I didn't see that coming and gives him a much higher chance of making it.
I have been down on his kicking skills both distance covered and hitting targets so will be keen to see if that improves with confidence and fitness.
Ball gathering improving whilst maintaining high tackle count 7 tackles and 21 possessions.
I'd still be drilling into him to be as rabid at the ball as you are at the man.

how did forgotten man Cads go?
1 possession, obviously injured, singing the song with the boys in his civvies.

Morris gets interviewed for 6 minutes with most listed players mentioned but not a word on josh. any likelyhood him and the club doing a grigga?

still strange the silence surrounding him
Yep it's bloody annoying, I'd still like to find a place for him. I'd rather Caddy than George in our forward line. I know George 'brings the heat' except he statistically doesn't. Caddy can mark, tackly and kick, all handy skills for a forward. Yes, he's slowish, but I think this tends to be overplayed. Anyway, hammy now keeps him out for a while.

Richmond VFL coach Steve Morris provides a summary of how the Tigers’ players performed in Sunday's win over Carlton at Ikon Park.

Jake Aarts (32 disposals, 10 tackles, seven clearances, one goal)

"'Aartsy' was brilliant on the weekend. He tackled hard, won the ball for us, and put great pressure on the opposition in a very well-rounded game."

Kane Lambert (25 disposals, six marks, two goals)

"Kane had another great game. He found plenty of the footy and played his role to perfection in another step forward for him."

Riley Collier-Dawkins (25 disposals, four tackles, four clearances)

"It was a real step forward for Riley in terms of his hunt for the footy. He's based his game heavily on defence lately, but it was good to see him get a lot more offensively involved."

Rhyan Mansell (25 disposals, 11 marks, four inside-50s)

"Rhyan gad a sensational game across half-back. In particular, his last quarter was outstanding with five marks from opposition possession. He attacked the ball and man hard all day."

Will Martyn (24 disposals, eight marks, six rebound-50s)

"It was great reward for Will to get more involved on offence on the weekend. He will take some great learnings out of the game in his transition to half-back."

Sydney Stack (23 disposals, six marks, three goals)

"Sydney was great in offence and defence on the weekend. He hunted the ball and had one particular contest in the centre of the ground which stood out, but he also impacted on the scoreboard as well."

Sam Banks (22 disposals, nine marks, six rebound-50s)

"He's progressing really nicely. He really works hard and the bigger ground at Carlton certainly suited him. It was great to see him not only get involved offensively but get down back and help out our back six as well.

Maurice Rioli Jnr (21 disposals, seven tackles, four clearances)

"He's in sensational form at the moment. Once again, his tackle pressure was second to none and he's improving at his centre bounce work which is also great to see and exciting for Tigers supporters."

Tyler Sonsie (18 disposals, four clearances, four inside-50s)

"He was a little quieter on the weekend. He still had an influence on the game but probably lacked a little engagement at stoppage, which is when he plays his best footy."

Ivan Soldo (16 disposals, 41 hit-outs, five tackles, two goals)

"Ivan was really pivotal for us. He attacks the ruck contest and helped us get dominance around the footy. He finished with two goals but could have easily kicked four or five."

Judson Clarke (16 disposals, three inside-50s, two goals)

"Judson played his role well. He is positioning himself really well and had a couple of classy finishes on the day also."

Bigoa Nyuon (11 disposals, seven marks, two tackles)

"'Biggie' had another solid game. He got involved offensively and his spread and run to create is something that really stands out, as well as a couple of really desperate efforts in defence."

Samson Ryan (10 disposals, 14 hit-outs, two goals)

"He is really close to having a breakout game. He's doing a great job for a young player competing against two and three in the air at times and bringing the ball to ground. Hopefully, a few more of his marks stick in the coming weeks."

Josh Caddy (one disposal, one tackle)

"Was injured in the first quarter but was absolutely fantastic on the bench coaching our young forwards throughout the day, which was really pleasing to see."

Big ups to Lachie Street, a favourite of regular VFL watchers. He's played just about every position for us over the past few years, from wing, half-forward, half-back, ruck-rover, even pinch-hitting in the ruck. Seems to have found his sweet spot at CHB. In shape, type and versatility he reminds me of Ben Harrison. Looks to be leading the team well.

Have only watched him on the tv, don't think I've seen him play a bad game. He looks to have plenty of AFL attributes, a bit surprised he's not on a list.
Does he lack a yard of pace?
