Just on the fadeout in the 4th quarter, its a combination of age for me, but we also didn't get our rotations right today.

Big Ivan wasn't good today and only played 47% TOG, which forced out older mids to play more TOG. Look at Cotch, has been super the last few weeks playing 70-73% TOG, today was at 81%. Lambert at 82% also.

If we want to get the best out of these guys, they are playing too much TOG. If thats because of Ivan, then we need to consider whether we can carry Ivan at a 47% TOG. Against better opposition, this type of thing will cause us to lose games, rather than being able to hold on like we did today.

Cause he knows our best can beat his *smile* tanking darlings
Don't worry. Good old MFC/MCC boys like Gawwy know that Gill has the umpires ready to intervene to make sure that will never happen in a final opposed to RFC.

Hang on, I get that that tackle from Jack was a bit of a sling, but there was ZERO chance that he was ever going to hit his head, do we really want that taken out of the game. I don't really think thats what the dumping tackle was for
Got me out of my seat
.. it "looked" like it might be dangerous.
Trouble was later in the game I was calling for a dangerous tackle in our favour. The words were barely out of my mouth when I realised I had fallen for Gills trickery.

Even at our peak we always fade in 4th quarters.
Have often left 10 goal hidings on the table.
We are building.

Yes, great point, Posh. Soldo did eventually a couple of good things and providing a chop-out for Nank is pretty vital to ensure he is not gassed and preserved long-term.

However, I don't think he does enough to be the answer overall.

Could be right there Posh.

At times Soldo was labouring and at times ok but when Nankervis went in we looked better.

Think Kozi was out leaping Soldo in the third???

Push Pickett in there like last week.

Our midfield is still a concern for me. Asking a lot from Cotch, Prestia , a returning Lambert, and out of sorts Edwards…get the picture right there!

66-45 inside 50s our way. Result flattered Hawthorn. Our biggest concern should be conceding 24 scoring shots from those 45 inside 50s.

We need to tighten up our defense.

These umpires are causing fan dissent. Would be less of the venting if our game was umpired better.
I’ve blown a fuse or two at the game, not proud of some of my outbursts. so today I decided not to watch with a self imposed timeout, but I peaked at the game and every time I looked the Hawks came bsck, saw the free kick count and shut my phone and got on with the day. :censored:

sheds could be the best 35yo sub the game has ever seen.

Bakes needs a spell.

Gil and the Maggot have ruined our game
I didn't like Baker forward and he hasn't inpired me since going back. Has the endeavour and all that but something Is still missing.

I know we’re kicking lots of goals, but our Team defence looks a real concern at the moment. Sides transitioning way too easily and kicking plenty of goals. It’s not how finals are played and won, by being shootouts.
