The Lincoln Lawyer, Netflix, based on the Michael Connolly books, up to Ep4, so far so good.
Bosch : Legacy on Amazon prime, as above, also pretty good. Big Titus Welliver fan now.

Yeah, I like Bosch, it's pretty formulaic and predictable but they get that contemporary LA noir thing pretty right. I'll check out The Lincoln Lawyer

I've enjoyed all the books, both Bosch & The Lincoln Lawyer, the two shows won't cross over, like the books do though, as on different networks.

Bosch: Legacy is a good follow up to the original series even if made on the cheap. Titus Welliver really sells it although I think the actress playing his daughter is unconvincing as a rookie cop.

Just watching The Lincoln Lawyer now, seems like a good adaptation although I dislike the actress playing his ex wife Lorna who is acting like she is in a sitcom. Great to see Neve Campbell though as Mickey's other ex wife.

I've not really been impressed by Madiosn Lintz since was eaten by Zombies in The Walking Dead, somethign wooden and a little forced about her, the other cast is pretty good though, Mimi Rogers good value. 2 eps a week seems a bit slow though.

The Lincoln Lawyer is a good adaptation, hope there's another series, plenty of books to work with. Being unable to cross over with Bosch though, may be limiting.

Is that the same as the Matthew McConaughey film in 2011?

Suggestion when discussing TV shows to mention what source... channel / streaming platform/ youtube / even box set etc please.

I only have FTA and associated digital and Netflix. I don't binge...two episodes a night is most of even the most gripping series I can manage before it dilutes the pleasure. And a habit from childhood I never watch daytime TV unless its sport.

Watching The Gods of Snooker - 3 hour doco on all the greats from the 70’s to the modern day. Fantastic. Big focus on the enigmatic Alex “Hurricane” Higgins.

Lots of unseen footage, clips etc. Lot of stuff from the 70’s plus stuff from the old Pot Black series.

Ray Reardon, Steve Davis, Higgins, Cliff Thorburn and many others. Snooker, booze, chicks, fights, aristocracy…has it all.

If I could pin this post to the top of every page of this thread I would. Been mentioned before, very frustrating to mention a show and not where it is available.

The JustWatch app is handy. You can look up any TV show or movie and it will tell you where you can watch it.

The Wire started slowly too. I'll give it a few episodes before passing judgement.

We Own This City has wrapped up, slow burn and not to everyone's taste I guess. Based on real events and real call intercept transcripts, freaking unbelievable what happened in Baltimore in terms of the war on drugs generally but also in what this squad got up to. Without spoiling too much the ending for of the people involved is devastating.

Recommended.

Also some lighter stuff ... Ramy, Muslim Egyptian lad who grew up in New Jersey struggles with religion, sex, family. Pretty funny.

I found episode 6 of Barry hilarious for some reason. The cafe donut franchise guy giving low-key lfe advice, Sally's meeting with the streaming execs, Barry's low-speed motorcycle chase. Awesome stuff.

Having watched and liked the Punisher the casting of Jon Berthnal took time to some adjusting to his role here. Plus a number of cameos from cast from the Wire. The war on drugs what a travesty
