If he is good as his namesake the racehorse Bauer who was placed in a Melbourne Cup then we look like getting a bargain.
I'd prefer not to lose the GF by a point.

Cost me plenty.

Can’t fault the rationale of the pick, we need forwards. However, at 191cm and 80kg he’s a medium forward and medium forwards have just about the shortest shelf-life of any position on the ground. He needs to be both excellent in the air and at ground level, have good pace off the mark as well as the ability to cover lots of kms.

It won’t be easy but I wish him all the best.

Not sure how he fits into Dimmas structures as he isn't a pressure fwd. Unless they see him as jacks possible replacement.

I think Dimma's accepted the need for more forward threats, hence Balta forward to start the year.

This kid has some elite traits. Think it could be a great pick. Fritsch comparison valid. Imagine getting Fritsch with a mid-season rookie pick halfway through his Fothergill-Round year.

After watching Bauer highlights reel can’t help feel he,d be a very good interceptor defender in the Jeremy Howe mould.

Apparently was a defender in the Swans academy and only moved forward at Nth Adelaide. Not sure if anyone had seen him as a defender in his junior and/or academy days

Seems like he has great hands being "only" 191cm. The modern day key forward profile seems to have pushed closer to 200+cm.

Carey was 192cm, Brereton was 186cm, Locket 191cm, Dunstall 191cm

191cm more than OK for a key forward if the skill and capability is there !!
