Would really prefer Miller showing what he has got for a few consecutive games rather than Tarrant.
Balta returns, Tarrant is dropped .....what did that accomplish?
Tarrant may just show that he could be serviceable, while Miller doesn't get a chance to bang the door down and give us options.

I like your thinking and agree to a degree , but without Balta we need that big body KD now Tarrant plays on the Gorillas Wright Franklin can't throw Miller to the Lions yet.

Gold Coast (SE - QLD).
I doubt West Coast would want him, and doubt Freo would need him. I reckon the only club to the west that would be interested is the cats. but he isnt 30 for another year, so even their interest might be minimal.

On Miller, i rarely see much VFL so cant really comment. It would be a pity if he cant make, what ever position, though. he has the size, mobility and kick to be a pretty handy player.
Why would broad go to WCE unless he’s on
$2 million a year?

From VFL reports he seems to have woken up and improving week on week so after Watching Fridays game at the SCG, I reckon we need to give him a run at AFL level as we have little to lose but plenty to gain

I like to think that my post a few weeks ago writing him off has spurred him into action. Definitely hope he can make it.

Biggy being chosen before him a few weeks ago seems to have lit a fire under his arse.

It looks certain that Miller will be a senior fixture in 2023.

Over the next month RFC will decide where.

I don't think he has played badly in any AFL game he has played. Pretty unlucky in my view. I hope he comes in for Tarrant.

To zero effect.

If rumours are true Broad is moving west at the end of the year, there will be a spot open in the defence for a quick versatall. Ben Miller can come in as #3 back. If.

Let's see a body of work.
#3? Not for me.

What Miller has is size and adequate speed.
Not elite footy smarts or anticipation.
But he is building into a big.

imo that means he plays the Astbury, providing air cover and locks down the big forward.
Gibcus to take the Grimes role.
The Broad / Flossy role as loose interceptor is Banks, that's why I think he was drafted.

Future backline of
Miller Gibcus Balta
Flossy/Banks Rioli Baker
Retired by 2024 Tarrant, Grimes. Maybe Broad is backup in '25

Maybe Balta goes forward, especially if Biggie makes it too

We can build a premiership around that backline

Think you’ll find that it’s Brown that was recruited as the interceptor Dell. He’s apparently strong overhead.
Banks more wing/midfielder

Miller's change of form has been quite significant. It appears to me that it was as simple as him being told to back himself in, e.g go for your marks, instead of punching the ball all the time.
He has grown in confidence, and is now kicking the door down. A big test for him this week if he comes in for Tarrant, Shovekins and Cameron are no slouches.

Fine weather for the VFL tomorrow, hopefully the Coburg ground isn't the bog it use to be so Ben can showcase his new found confidence and attacking play, can't afford to regress, onwards and upwards.

Is the 'Tarrant out due to injury' confirmed?

It’s now or never for Miller

Big chance to get himself an afl career .

Has been lighting it up in the vfl

With balta out and maybe tarrant , Miller will have a very inportant role to play
