Soft tissue injuries are a concern and the inability earlier in the season at being able to run games out. The better teams looked far better prepared than we were.

From a conditioning perspective, it was only after Round 6-7 that I thought we looked like all the other teams. Fatigue hasn't been a factor in the most recent capitulations.

Gibcus illness if you wanted to include him. That'd be 11 in total for that GC game.

Nakas...Poor bastard can't take a trick. He looked fit and firing and then this happens. Also looks long term.

Lynch. Broken finger, could be a month or could be alot of bandages. Its a wait and see.

Astbury. Knee cap injury. Still a month away.

Dusty. Warrior. Still tender around the old ribs. He won't miss.

Houli. Family reasons will miss 5 games

Edwards. Family reasons will miss 5 games.

Cotchin. After scans late last night, he has
"Kissmyasshubs".
He will miss the entire 5 weeks also.

Yeah but we didn't get beaten by Gold Coast after being 40pts up in the 3rd qtr, Geesook after being 17pts up with 10mins to go and Sydney after being 30+ points up in the 3rd that year either.

to really dig into the injury stats would be a big job
I think you'd need to look at all injuries per club over the source of the season & preseason

Like our current hamstring list versus our season long hamstring list can tell a different story

Brisbane seems to be similar with their lesser hamstring injuries
 
Need to strengthen the conditioning and fitness area to many hammies this year and struggling to run out games , we have been cutting our spending to much for my liking.

Martin 30 (6? Weeks away from the club mid season)
Caddy 30 (recent history of soft tissue injuries)

Suspect there might be more factors at play than just the loss of Innes.

Grimesy had problems with his hamstring too early in the season. Banks & McIntosh too.

Comes down to luck also.
Leon Cameron was doing hammys for fun at Footscray.
We had him for 4 years and I think he missed 4-5 games in total.
None of them hammy related IIRC.
