Matthew Jefferson has to be on our radar. Big gangly key forward.

And Darcy Edumends, he has my attention. Super classy. Has time, has poise and kicks off both feet.

And in a side that got flogged, Mattaes Phillipou looked so good.

Jefferson only around 194. But good leap and smarts.
For VicC now Noah Long is one of those classy small forwards the antithesis of Castagna.
Cadman could be anything. Again not huge but powerful vice mitts.
Ollie Hollands looks good.
WA Ginbey needs to get fit fit fit but a physical onball beast. Wouldn't say no. And kicks a nice goal.
There was another Oli, Oli Hotton for Metro looked classy and well built. Tick.
SA put in a poor display I couldn't tell wheat from chaff.
Player of the day Ashcroft by light years. Total. Jet.

OK, let's say we lose one of Baker or Dusy. Feels like we end with another top 20 pick. That would give us four picks in the first two rounds.

1 key forward and 3 mids. It really is that simple.

Feels like we have to get one of Cadman or Jefferson. They will grow another 2-3cms from this point.

Then two or three mids. It's a pretty simple strategy this year.

Got to get one of them. That simple.
Are either of them really THAT good ? They're sort of ok....but I don't know if they're anything too special. For as much as we need a KPF, if midfielders that had a more obvious performance rating or history were there, I'd go with the midfielder.

Mids are just as big a need and they are much, much less prone to being a bust.

Yes I agree. If we could get another draft pick in the top 30 it would be great to have two talls and two midfielders coming in to balance out what we got last year.

Fair question. I think both are super promising, I'm a fan of both. But if you have a mid the club rates better, your right they will take them. But if the gap between the mid and one of these guys is small according to the ratings, I'd take the forward. We can't keep putting it off.

Yep. Agree with all of that.

Corey Tregenda-Cashell is one to keep one eye out for. He's a monster, doesn't look fit to me, but he can take a grab and looks to be a pretty good kick.

My preference would be to draft a couple of midfielders, but I reckon Corey Tregenda-Cashell might be available with a 3rd round selection.

Cadman or Keeler ,Jefferson has a great leap, but a poor ground game.
If by magic we got a top 5 pick (gws) Jhye Clark would be my selection.

Keeler is intresting, the obvious call that everyone is marking is Paddy Ryder. Does he end up a ruckman?

If I wanted a pure forward its Cadman or Jefferson for me. Cadman screams Charlie Curnow.

I have liked Cadman all year,he grew 3-4cm over summer and has become a proper kp,really he should of kicked more goals in the NAB cup,but he is too unselfish .
I would be surprised if he lasted to our pick,as it is at the moment but Gibcus did so anything is possible.
Keeler is a good forward ,he just needs to improve his work rate more ,his endurance seems alright ,just got to keep up his repeat efforts .

Lewis Hayes has impressed me,he reads the play so well, and is a strong mark ,and a decent kick ,at 197cm 81 kg he does need to build up ,but doesn't turn 18 till well into December ,even though he has been playing down back ,he reads the play so well, and he is quick to to intercept ,he is quite athletic,l reckon he could be a forward.
The position we are in at the moment we would probably get a midfielder ,someone like Mackenzie ,Brayden George would be a very good pick up,he's out injured at the moment ,but is a dynamic player 185cm 87kg he is a great kick ,and he is very strong mark, and his ground game is good too, question mark on him ,is can he play a good game in the midfield ,as a forward you could give him 5 kicks from all angles and he would probably kick 5 goals .

I guess once trade week is done ,we will have a better idea.

Unless we move up, I reckon Mackenzie will be gone before our pick.
