How do we get into these situations when every game now is crucial?

Going into today's game like I did last week, not confident but with a glimmer of hope.

Good luck MrT.
I too am shocked we are in this position.
Feel we should be around 6th at the moment.

We have left our run too late I fear.

No Dusty, No Grimes.

Adelaide Oval.

Unfortunately, I think Port.

Go Tigers.

Another elimination final tonight.
Due to us *smile* up so many expected victories earlier this year, every game's an elimination final. Tends to add an extra edge to the anticipation and fan involvement to every game. Gone from rocking up n thinking " we've got this " to " OMG hope we don't *smile* *smile* the bed again " Stress n anticipation has gone up to next level late this year.

Wouldn't it be great, just for *smile* once, to have an opposition team just go through the motions knowing their season's gone and making us win easily........nuh, it's Richmond let's rape them.

Looks like Shedda's been 'managed' to travel with the boys to Adelaide and visit his family.

Nothing to see here, well apart from koshie signing of on Ken's retirement package.

Tigers are just about to unleash the new winning formula.

All over by 3 quarter Times time.

Tigers kicking 20 goals Port to struggle to 13..

Maybe given our recent success, we need a back to the wall environment to motivate us to play our best - I am not sure.

We are are young squad, playing kids everywhere - the club has made the decision, partly forced to given injuries and poor form to some senior players, we are in deep rebuild mode but with an expectation that finals should still happen.

I expected to lose last week against the lions, and was really disappointed in that first half we put up with the total lack of fight in the team and then equally amazed at the footy we then produced to win that game.

Since the bye -
Ports form is mixed, winning only 3 - swans, GC and GWS and have lost 5
Tigers form better, winning 4 plus a draw and have lost 3.
Both teams losses have been close.

Despite 7 out of the last 10 games being in Adelaide, we are going 5 : 5 win loss against them which tells me we match up pretty well against them.

We have 6 inexperienced players listed if you include Ross, Cumberland, MJ, Sonsie, Gibs and Miller. Thats a massive number and with their home ground advantage - the reason Port is favoured with the bookies and commentators.

I am banking on the confidence the squad gained from last week comeback win and the motivation of playing their first finals campaign from those youngsters could be the difference and get us across the line in another close one.

If the tigers play near their best, they should win but with such a young squad, they will be inconsistent during games and between games - I will watch tonight with the expectation of losing but really hope I will be surprised again.

we are indeed a side in transition.

as such, nowhere near as good as 2017-2020.

games like this one would appear to be out of reach unless port has put the cue in the rack.

Boak is going to play with a fractured hand which suggests they are keen to win this one. A punch to the back of the hand while he's going for an overhead mark might be the trick.
