Is it just me or does anyone else wonder whether a injury-disrupted Dusty might actually be a liability in the finals?
Finals are Dusty's time. The chill off the air, the roar of the Tiger army at the G and Dusty ...that is September

I am old enough to remember when Royce came on after halftime in the 1973 prelim. It was nearly 50 years ago and I was a kid but I still remember the roar. That's what it will be like week 1 of the finals when Dusty appears.

The guy is a finals superstar, you don't leave superstars out for team balance. Can't wait

Just plonk him in the forward pocket and watch him kick 5.
My concern is that we plonk him in the pocket and Cumberland, or Jack have to move, or Bolts cant sit deep.
Our forward line is motoring now, and the dynamic will change with Dusty there.

But of course he is Dusty, and it is finals time, so any potential issue is insignificant compared to the potential upside.

Should officially change his name to Mr September (and occasionally October) like Prince and Kanye did.
All athletes require motivation. From my understanding, through those that know him well, Dusty at times needs more motivation than others. His ability to rise at important times and creates big moments exactly when required is no coincidence.
He’s build for finals.
Then there’s his ability to kick goals that no other human can kick. Often with opponents hanging off him, or trying to.
We’ve got a Ferrari in the garage.
I can almost here it idling.

Stick him in the goal square and watch the oppo poo themselves. Probably kick 5, 10 disposals and 10 score involvements

That final goal in the 2020 GF is still the best I’ve ever seen. There was a picture where he has 5 Geelong players around him and it was captioned The Geelong players suddenly realise they’ve been surrounded by Dustin Martin.

To the media who keep going after Dusty or making up stories linking him to the Swans and a fallout at the Tigers …………….Dusty is invested ………………

Poor? Look he might not have been dusty of old but he was never poor.
The last game he played when he got injured he had 17 touches, 4 clearances, 1 goal
and 359 meters gained in well under a half.
That was by far his best half of the year. By normal Dusty standards he was poor this year.

The greatest finals player of all is about to return to his Albert Hall stage. As a cherry on top. Think about that.

Name him but he is an ultra when it comes to professionalism.
He might be persuaded to play out of the forward 50 despite not having gained match fitness, but I can’t see him going out if he still had “awareness.”
Nor would Dimma send him.
