They both ended up with almost the same stats however Sonsie's ball use and general footy smarts stood out as superior. Ward's played 13 games and Sonsie 5. Again their stats are very similar however Sonsie is better in areas like score involvements, inside 50's and goal assists.
and Ward had a Pre-season, Sonsie didn't.

I really like his balance and composure. This is purely an observation, and definitely not a prediction of what he may become, but when I see him wheeling on to his left
foot I see similarities to Ian Stewart........

And the exciting thing is he's a right footer. Looks so at ease using either foot.

David King and others such as our esteemed and much-missed on these boards brother Gypsy Jazz/Oxford man rightly froth over Errol Gulden. Sonz is six months younger, a couple of inches bigger and more dual-sided.

I'm saying he's similar but better than the Swans prodigy.

Hmmmmm…. Stewart is the most skilful player I’ve ever seen. Best combo of ground, foot, hand, aerial skills in one package. Add courage and footy IQ and that was Stewart. Big game player. Hard to compare. But I’d love it if you were to be right.

Cornes praising Sonsie's workrate on Footy Classified last night.

Go to 1:10 min mark:
"Do like Sonsie ... Defensive pressure there [in the centre] from a high half-forward, Richmond turn it over [our way at half-back] and this is a player who is just a footballer. He knows what he is doing. The workrate then to provide an option out on the wing. That's how you play the high half-forward role. I like him as a player. He's a ripper!" - Cornes.

Sonsie had virtually no preseason and has done very well at both levels

Cant wait to see what he can become in 2-3 years time

High end talent that just reads the play so well and has the skills

200+ game player

So Sonsie is playing the Lambert role…
who knows! but i would say kind of. i think around the ball he is a different player than Lambert- who's greatest strength (among many) was his running ability. Sonsie doesnt have that yet, but is already effective as a smart footballer who gets to where he needs to be.

Given what he has been through the last 2 years and given the low starting base, I think he's been fantastic. I've mentioned this before in relation to a couple of our younger guys (mainly Gibcus, Cumbo and MRJ), but it's so obvious the talent is there we really need to push them through to 50 games as soon as possible and then we will really reap the rewards.

I’d add Miller to that list too. He’s very talented for a big man.

Absolutely THIS. Out of all our players this year, I think Miller has near on been the biggest improver. Looks really comfy down back, looks great in the ruck and doesn't look out of place up forward either. Keep getting games into him...
