Congratulations Sheds on a stellar career. 300 plus games and 3 flags (so far); what an achievement. His game in the 2017 GF was something to behold. I didn't fully appreciate it until I'd watched the replay a few times. He was so quick with his hands and feet, some of the things he did in that game I missed and had to rewind to see what happened. He was incredible. He was quite a unique player.

I really thought he had another few years left him but unfortunately he has really slowed down this year. Father Time has crept up faster than I thought it would with him. The mind is there but the body is not quite up to it. He doesn't seem to be able to impact contests like he did but he is still good and creative in space. However if he plays like he has his last few games he is still in our best 22; medi sub at worst,

Thanks Shedda.

I don't know if anyone else noticed but when Shane thanked Dusty for passing him the ball 192 times and they cut to Dusty there was a single tear rolling down Dustin's cheek.

We're taking a lot of feeling into September. Trent, Shane, Jack, Dustin, Dylan. Damien. Together since late 2009. Shane and Jack (and Trent) even longer.

Who doubts the master coach Mr Damien Hardwick can harness and focus that collective emotion into a diamond-hard point? Who doubts this group has the will and the love to leave every last ounce of effort on the field for each other and their beloved mentor? Who among our prospective opponents isn't hoping someone else does the job before it falls to them?

What did Dimma say after 2017? After the loss at Kitty Litter Park, we tweaked a couple of things "and went whack-whack-whack-whack-whack".

It's *smile*'in whackin' time.
Yep, that’s how I’m seeing it now as well. It’s been hidden behind some deep bush.

We’ve whacked that bush clear. We are all in on this season. The Last Bush Dance.

It’s Nutbush time. Dusty knows it.

One of my favorites , felt a bid sad when i heard the news , but being realistic it is the right time all the same ,

17 GF was a special one , had to be in the mix for Norm Smith that day IMO ,

Shane bowed out on his home and away career with the Tigers in a productive way. Three goals, two more assist and a couple of trademark Edwards handiwork. He has done us proud so it was a fitting farewell at the G. If we make the finals and he is in the team then even better for one last cameo of Edwards magic

Shane gets 75% TOG and plays 50%. I'm a big fan of players getting a soft run as sub. Martin is about to return.

If it has to be done this is how and when we do it. Out Edwards, in Martin.

I think it's the right play, I just dunno if Dimma will do it given the number of young'uns in the side.

A case of the past or the future. Sadly I know which way we should go
Don't be sad if Tiger legend Shane Edwards is relegated to sub, UK. Be excited that first-year player Tyler Sonsie has earned a place in a finals team.

Sonsie got coaches votes for his last effort.
How do you drop a kid after that?
Are we certain Gibcus is safe? Wouldn’t exactly call his form inspiring. He can only really negate atm. Is that enough?

Gibcus could make way. But Hardwick loves a settled back line.

Tarrant - Daniher
Balta - Hipwood
Broad - McStay
Rioli - Cameron

There really isn’t a match up for Gibcus unless one of their rucks rests forward.

But I see merit in this change. Worst case scenario Macintosh pushes back and Ross moves on to a wing.

We have played 7 defenders each week for 10 years- 1 on the bench. Even if a back gets injured, we swap someone else into that 7 and keep rotating off the bench. I cannot see that changing in a knock out final.

McCarthy is a marking player. Took Short to the cleaners in the first half of round 20. So Godcus could play on him. But he is definitely the other option to go out.

I think that's what he was saying. If Godcus goes out, KMac or Short become part of the back 7. (I'd rather they didn't.)

If Grimes were fit we all know Gibbo would be out. But he,s not so he stays in.
Terrific experience, if we go deep it,d be like fast tracking him to 50 games.
Sonz too for the experience

The 7th is Macintosh.

Correct.
