Production is trending up, wrong time to cut him, 12 months required I feel, at the moment he wouldn't command much compensation but we all knew he was a 4 year project so we have to see this through.
Interesting and your opinion appeals - hope, always the last thing to die. Like everyone if he gets another year I hope he turns a corner. With the injection of players in the midfield he won't be given a game he will have to demand it.

The irony is that RCD could well succeed better if he moves, new environment, new coach etc. Works for a fair number of players, see Chol.

Also agree with the off Manhattan guy, likely better for RCD to get a fresh start somewhere else. If we get Taranto and Hopper he will struggle to play any AFL for Richmond.

DS
Agree he would benefit with a fresh start but has to address his aerobic capacity & transition running if he wants to play regular AFL.

I see that the guy traded into picking, "so that we couldn't take him", was delisted today. Further evidence that the year these guys were drafted was a draft thin on good talent.
I think Riley could fill a role, maybe not for us, but I think he could. Certainly more talented than some AFL footballers.
As for Stocker, if he's got any talent, I'm sure Teague will say something.

in all the excitement of the hopper/Taranto news I missed this. Astonishing how this has played out

Apparently doesn’t train hard enough and when given advice doesn’t take it. Thinks he’s fit enough. Also a bit of a *smile*. This is from one of his teammates.

He never looks comfortable in the team setting. I get the feeling he's a bit of a loner. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Has a bit of the FIGJAM about him? Yeah that and also the whole trade scenario on the night. Smells a bit

RCD delisted ??.......... doing pre season at Collingwood or Essendon .... . can see it

McCrae has had a bit to do with him , so might throw him the challenge.

I think he’s talking about Stocker?
Stocker was delisted for never building the tank to play midfield like he wanted. Carlton played his as a small back but he could never defend the athleticism of a Bolton, Cameron etc.
Similar to Riley really, could never build the tank for his preferred inside mid position, but had limitations to place him in other positions.

For what it’s with I think both could get another chance, but RCD still has the bigger upside.

Got told last week by a Ninthton fan with good contacts that Stocker was not very popular with his team mates. Big time attitude apparently.

Well done silly SOSage. Another of your many blunders.

This was alluded to in an article last week when he was delisted.

I'd have an attitude problem too if I thought I was going to the RFC and ended up at Carlton...

Unless the AFL introduce players can be payed for playing half of a game. Collier Dawkins hasn't got no hope..
McCrae has taught Collingwood how to run like Gazelles. Not sure a 22 yr old kid that walks more then he runs fits into his plans.

For what it’s worth, looks like Riley has appointed this bloke for specialist strength and conditioning training over the off season.
Ex Tiger Higgins used him pre drafting and was a big wrap for him although I know the bloke had a big fall out with Higgins running coach, Bohdan Babachek who is a legend.
Anyway looks like Riley has a rocket up him and wants to improve which is a positive

From what limited action I have seen of RCD is he tends to switch off and ball watch when the going gets tough. A pity as in the right circumstances he could be a good player

@St Kevin it sounds like you have had some first hand dealings with Bohdan? but i think regardless of who Riley has chosen to take charge of him and drive him through the off-season is great, (not sure if he has done anything similar before?).
Hopefully it is not just a case of to put his best foot forward for a new club.
As I have said before I'd like him to
stay another year with Tige's but would understand if Riley or Richmond came to another conclusion.
