How bad is his kicking is to much made off it because his disposal efficiency is same average as some of the best midfielders in the competition ?.

I see him equivalent to Dion. Not smacking people in the tit, but he's not there for that. Leave that for Bolton, Dustin, Drioli etc

I remember dions kicking was a criticism when we recruited him

To be fair, it seemed like he'd forgotten how to kick the ball in his first handful of games with us. But once he got his confidence back we saw that penetrative and precise hoof that we know him for now.

Kicking efficiency for contested/clearance type players is always going to be down. Look at Trent over his career. When you are hacking a ball forward from a centre square clearance it's not always going to be pretty.

True , he’s actually turned out to be a beautiful passer of the ball

Tim Taranto is a Richmond style player. He runs hard both ways, tackles really well and gets the pill. His kicking is fine for the role he plays
I reckon we are going to love him

What really stands out in both the Taranto & Hopper interviews is just how excited and happy both boys are to be playing for the great richmond football club and its like a dream come true for them.

Both these boys are going to become great Richmond people and fit straight into the team and they are both of great character and work ethic

He mentioned in the quick interview something about his family in the States.
Is his family American?
Italian heritage?
If anyone knows, many thanks.

Looking forward to the Hollywood Brothers (Quentin and Dennis! :)) ) going ballistic in 23!

Dad's American probably Italian/American, mum's Aussie. His parents separated when he was two and his father returned to the United States. His grandparents here had a lot to do with his raising, his granddad hasn't missed a game apparently.

His father lives in Texas, so throughout his childhood Taranto would regularly travel to the United States, and has been there over 15 times.

He did play for St Kevin's College in Toorak, so possibly a family home ain't far away from Punt Road and the G!! :eyes

And Jack Bowes is 'older' than Taranto ;) By two days, but he's still older right!! :mhihi

26/01/1998 to 28/01/1998

A bit surprised to see Bowes the same age to be honest, I thought he was younger but both taken in the 2016 draft. Taranto at 2, Bowes at 10.

Yep that's what I read too, although, considering the sign of the 'bull' he makes and his dad living in Texas, the name 'Taranto' might also be of Spanish origin (?)

Could be, we will find out when someone asks him aye

Or  He's from not far from where the Matera's come from on the map below. Got a mate whose a Messina from Messina, Sicily.

Some more as well sorry :giggle: "Tarantino is an Italian word meaning "originating from Taranto", a town in Apulia in Southern Italy. It is used, for example, as the demonym for Taranto and for the Tarantino dialect of the Sicilian language."

Could be related to the great QT o_O

Tim said once the Hopper trade went through he received a text off Jacob that had a few expletives. Would love to know what it said.

Can you f**king believe we are both going to play for the biggest club in the land (something like that)
