I’m loving the Collingwood and Geelong not seeing eye to eye about Henry’s worth. It’s an easy way to bait a pies supporter in that Geelong have been in his ear like Tanner Bruhn for the last 2 years. Also you mentioned what a great development coach’s they have etc and you have them on edge. The Collingwood ferals who are hating on Mackie is very very funny.

Ever wonder why Collingwobbles get so many free kicks?

Razor Ray and Mason Cox partying it up in the USA

So remember 2 years ago when Collingwood got rid of Treloar, Stephenson and Phillips in a fire sale because they wanted to get in to the 2020 draft?

They drafted Henry (gone), Poulter (gone), Finn McRae (11 games), Reef McInnes (0 games), Liam McMahon (0 games) and Beau Mcreery.

Apart from the no.44 pick Mcreery it hast worked out all that well so far.

They were within a point of making a grand final so not sure they are too disappointed.

Finn McRae looks promising.
Richmond were very keen and passed in the draft once he was taken with the pick beforehand

They were not to disappointed getting within a point of making a grand final because it saved them from a record of 15 Grand Final wins, 27 losses to being shattered with 15 Grand Final wins, 28 losses!! ;)

Getting into the draft was the story sold to the members.
It was a salary cap dump

So apparently Edward went against his football department and gave Grundy the 7 year 7 million $ deal , great work Ed , still shocked he didn’t appoint himself as playing Coach/ Captain
Just on this, how can the president have the official power to sign contracts?
It's a formal role but non-executive.

Unless he promised Grundy and forced the staff to follow him

Because it was HIS club. Eddie had become the King over time. He also committed the Club to the pub purchase deal which cost them over $8m in losses if I remember correctly.

Understand all that. I,d think officially he wouldn't have the authority. He,s the pres not the ceo.
But if Eddie says it's agreed, then the club falls into line.
