Top field think Stewie has to be no 1. Can not believe brownie at 18. If you look at the flip players who left us and went elsewhere doubt Ottens has any serious competition
A couple of challengers, perhaps Teasdale or BT?

Without reading the thread, ill have a crack.

Maurice Rioli
Dion prestia
Bachar houli
Tom lynch
Marlion pickett

Nank at 8 throws me,

But ill add
6. Rob Wiley
7. Gas

Sugar ahead of N.Brown is patently absurd imo.

Probably, but 1 played 120 games and the other 70.
Brown's 2005 was tracking to be 1 of the all time great seasons, but he never got close to reaching those heights again.

Yeah i get it - i always felt sugar peaked in Adelaide

And n.brown was the standout player of the comp when that melb *smile* busted his leg.

Like all list, theres varying POV.

I just realised its AFL club recruits? And maurice and wiley ineligible?

They can shove the list up their arse if they think Gold Coast Suns have more capital than South Fremantle.

maurice is my no.1

And ive got a good mind to put Lambo and Broady in too.

See clarification above

The list is like The Commonwealth Games

My Olympic Top 10 taking into account pure quality and premiership delivery would be

Maurice
Nank
Dion
tom lynch
N Brown
Marlion Pickett
kane Lambert
Bachar houli
Robbie Wiley
nathan broad.

As always, i place additional weighting on toughs.

Bakes and gas stiff

* apologies Taz for flagrantly disregarding thread parameters

MRsnr pretty much signed with Sydney at one stage, so perhaps you can have him on a technicality.

But Carlton's seniors were barely AFL standard when we recruited Lambert, so their reserves definitely dont count.

Some of the joke responses reminds that there was a thread many moons ago with people’s nominations for the dudliest retreads. It was horrendous reading. Neeld, Biddiscombe, Blumfield, etc.
Depths were plumbed.

I've been talking to a Blues supporting work college that was too young for this period
and sent him the Blues teams for the 72 & 73 GF's , he knew plenty of the names because they are legends

similarly our 72/73 GF sides were star studded affairs and Sproule sat comfortably in that group

both clubs had assembled really top lists and their 2nds were loaded too

to be in either side was a gold star , to be a good player in those sides add 2 more gold stars LOL

my fading memories of Sproule were steady consistent but at a high level without attracting attention
