would be great to see him play his 350th game in the finals to top off a sensational career.

Don’t think he’ll get there. Reckon Jack will be nursed through the season and maybe miss a game every 5-6 weeks. We’re gonna have to give Sampson Ryan a go from time to time as well.

By my calcs we can rest him for two matches and have his 350 on Grand Final Day. See whether he can outdo Dusty on the day and win the Norm Smith as well.

Reckon you'll see JR8 Chimpa and Dion miss a game or two this year for maintenance dependent of course on performance and fitness.

I'd be tipping the WA fixtures at a guess.

Upset about Castagna then ???
Haaarrrgh. Only player I know that was more erratic with ball in hand than the Richo man. Both regularly capable of causing fans to hide their eyes during games.
Loved the Richo man, he was an absolute star.
Loved the Georgie too, he helped us win three flags.

I think the club will be ultra-cautious with our senior players this year after the injury problems we had last year. Geelong have been pretty good at looking after their senior players. I think we’ll have to do something similar.

I sort of agree with you Ian4.

I hope they can bank as many wins as possible first half of the year.
What you're alluding to is ok if you are 6 and 2 for eg.

Bloody hard to rest too many if you are 2 and 5 or 3 and 7.
Really hope they can get on a roll which then makes it easier to do this and bring some kids in etc.
Must win 2moro.

I’m pretty relived the majority of players under injury clouds will be available to play, even if it’s unlikely we will play them all. We have to start well this year. We don’t need to be 6-0, but we need to be at least 3-3. Losing tomorrow will place a lot of pressure on us travelling to Adelaide… where we lost early last season.

Final year Jack! you have given all but we need this one last super year from you. Help the youngsters, kick your bags and come off as a winner

Start the season 2 n 5 or 3 n 7 then it's more than likely we need to rest our older players in favour of getting the youngsters some miles under the belt in prep for 2024.

Ch7 saying he is playing VFL? Is this instead of flying to Adelaide? Anyone else see this on the after game coverage?
