Have to wait on Graham, I suspect he will be ok to play but we'll see. Should not be dropped.
Mansell out, replace with one of Clarke or Sonsie.
If Tarrant is fit then in for Balta, Balta needs to improve his reading of the game and footy IQ, maybe a spell in the VFL. Is it a day game, maybe Balta only plays day games.
Hopefully Pickett will be fine for the whole game, with KMac they are locks for the wings. Very important if we decide to try not having a specific defensive forward in Mansell, will need more protection up the ground.
Oh, and Ross, no. Whoever is left out of Sonsie and Clark can be sub.

McKay outmarked and outmaneuvred Balta several times, was replaced by Miller.
Mansell was pivotal in scoring the final goal, delivered precisely to Lynch via Hopper.
I was surprised Tylar did not play, although they might save his debut in Melbourne.

I think mansell took a nice sliding mark on the wing and then centred it to hopper who kicked it to lynch.

Watching the replay, Mansell outpaces Saad running to the wing to take the sliding mark, no mean feat.
He was outnumbered 5 to 1 by Carlton defenders.
Balta is more or less replacing Tarrant, at the moment.
However Balta's forte is running through space, he is confused in a pack situation.
In the final passage, Miller tapped the ball to Grimes as it deflected off McKay, setting off the chain reaction.

dont forget tho that that last bit of play by mansell ..to out run saad and take that mark,,kick it to hopper, resulted in the lynch goal to even the score...a samll but crucial piece of play by the kid.....butyeah..i get it it ..sonsie clarke or even cumberland may of been a better selection choice
I wasnt a fan of Mansell being picked as a forward, but it will be interesting what the MC thinks. Yes our forward line didnt score well, but our ability to lock the ball in the front half gave us plenty of opportunities.
Did Mansell contribute more to the lack of scoring, or to the defensive pressure?
It all comes down to pressure acts
IMO not good enough forwards must hit the scoreboard
