Just to put everyone’s mind at ease, last years corresponding game against the Crows was a 33-13 free kick count in their favour
Yep. We hit the lead in the 3rd Qtr and then they received 15 frees to 1. The 1 they gave away was a professional free kick as we were on down the ground.

Those hoping for Cumberland to come back in (myself included) may be disappointed for a few weeks. They are trying to re-program him in the reserves like they did with Dan Rioli, Caddy and a few others. They want him to learn another position that doesn't mirror Dustin Martin's position. What that position is, I have no idea.
If we get the same result as Rioli - the few weeks of angst will be well worth it. Castagna pressure with Cumberland smarts and finishing would be elite.

It was an absolute farcical reaming that gifted them the game.

Out - Mansell
In - Clarke

Adelaide players were out on their feet at yesterday's game, and now have a 6 day break.

We have a 9 day break so should be much fresher.

Being in Canberra the nightly news gave a bit of time to the Giants Crows game
The heat there was brutal and said late in the game players going down with cramp all over the ground
The game was tight for much of the second half so it will have dragged out maximum effort from both sides

surely must be some advantage with our longer turn around

One Crow looked like he'll cop weeks , head high contact

I’ve lost track the amount of times the team with the shorter break beats the team with the longer break.

It's a must win this weekend with the Pies, Dogs, Swans and Dee's to come after that. The tough early draw doesn't really suit our system of building into the season.

Out:
Ross - will get a good run at it at some stage but probably misses
Mansell - tad unlucky as he did some nice things, tried hard and didn't do much wrong but probably not enough impact overall to keep his spot.

In:
Sonsie - if fit obviously. He's too classy to not include and needs to be playing at AFL level for both his development and adds some class.
Cumberland - as above

Balta lucky to keep his spot. He's excused due to having poor vision at night  Needs to make amends this week.

Poor entries inside 50 and some woeful kicking for goal clealry cost us against carlton, which should have been a comfortable 4+ goal win. Both Sonz and Cumberland improve us in these areas. In saying that, Sonz likely to play another week at VFL level. Maybe JC for Ross will be the only change?

Hopefully this week the Tigers can put a beltiing on the Crows although the 4 points enough and the GoDeez can knock off the Bears and put the Bears 6 points behind us.

Thats why we got it so we can be hobbled early.

IN Sonz and Jud please.

Dimma wont bring Cumbo in cos he's got VFL learnings to have as per his presser.

I recon my man Dow is the next man in if we are looking at midfield replacements. Sonsie was apparently gassed in the last quarter of the VFL game and may need more fitness.

That forward line… I’ll go spunky Ryan and Clarke for mansell and Ross
