Check out Adelaide after securing the fitness guy who was at Melbourne for their Premiership year.
Previously at Port.
You want the best? You go out and get them.
We were comfortable and lazy with Luke’s selection. If he was that good, someone would have poached him whilst Burge was still in charge. Like they did with Innes.
Near enough, good enough doesn’t win you Majors
Adelaide out did us on every stat. We won.
I dunno "sports science" ? But like statistics?
We have soft tissue injuries.. not to dusty Prestia, Cotch, Grimes
What's the number of injured players that is regarded as problematic.
Bigoa, Bradtke not soft tissue. But yeah Tarrant and Gibcus are not good. we have them covered. It'd be good to see Gibcus playing, I'd love to see him trial as a KPF.
Soldo and Nank injured. Well pies are in the same boat and won. They even lost McStay

There is always going to be injuries on AFL , imho we can only judge our fitness staff on preventable injuries and reacurring one’s , also like to see teams been strong at the end of games . Lot of luck involved with these people

We out did Collingwood in 2 out of 3 of the running stats.
Lose the game.
Im old. I don't rate blue ribbon winners from athletics carnivals and kmac would be first out of my team.

I should have been clearer and clarified about checking out Adelaides injury list. Almost non existent.
As Mr B says above it’s all about preventable and reoccurring soft tissue injuries.
The fitness side is probably very similar across the board although we look sluggish late in games.

Interesting running stats, but also as someone above pointed out, you can do a hell of a lot of running when chasing the opposition when they have the ball.

Maybe we just need to get smarter with how we cover the ground, that would be one for the tactical coaches but I have noticed poor positioning at times and that wouldn't help as players try to make up ground getting to the opposition who are running off with the ball.

Well I'm sure our people are onto it.
There is Total distance; max sprint speeds, repeat sprints, work rate in attack and defence .
Too much information for moi.
Give me goals on a score board

I see Seth Campbell has gone from a Test on Tuesday to Medium Term now which I assume is at least 4 weeks. Another mismanaged injury.

Tom Brown also still medium term after being on the verge of a comeback 4 weeks ago!

How much longer do we need to put up with this incompetent team?

Is that adductor issue the second time he's had it .....or the first ? Didn't he have something over the pre season as well ?

Dees can get an old giant warhorse back from a knee in 3 weeks. Meanwhile we can't get a couple of 18/19 yo's back from their injuries.

WHo is our rehab guy these days? We need more dedication to rehab,

Pretty sure that Seth isn't the first player to have a setback in their recovery.

Concerning that this is happening repeatedly.

Same injury as he got in our preseason game versus Norf. That was in February.

Played one game in the VFL and then been injured ever since.

Yep. KKK is 100% correct with Seth's abductor injury.

Injured V North, came back, started training, hurt it again and back on injured list.
So that's Seth and Short. Did Graham do something similar ? Lynch (albeit foot not soft tissue) ? Pickett as well with a groin ?

Based off Caeser's reports there might be some others, can't recall.

Wouldn't count Lynch (broken bone from contact vs plantar fascitis), but Graham was more underdone - he had turf toe didn't he in preseason, and now a hammy. Pickett had a groin, but hasn't re-done it afaik - he was managed early game time wise, but hasn't missed through injury. There's Tom Brown as well, who tried to play with his wrist healing naturally before they sent him in for surgery.

So for repeats of the same injury it's only Short and Campbell, with Graham and Lynch suffering multiple injuries, and Brown trying to manage naturally and then succombing to surgery. Obviously then a large number of others with single injuries including Lynch, Pickett, Nank, Soldo etc

Yeah, Pickett was rested just prior to the season because of an adductor, but I thought he had done something similar during the pre season. Maybe I'm wrong. Or maybe he did something similar last year ? Can't recall.
