Yeah, he's a Lambert. Goes under the radar but plays well most weeks.
Had his first ever big season last year. 29 y.o. n I'm pretty sure it's the first time he's finished top ten in their BnF. Honest trier but best suited to carrying Lamblett's luggage.

And has not even picked up the phone since to at least see how Vlastuin was after it. This is fact.
Just shows the type of bloke he is.
I have it on good authority they have actually spoken. ..... apparently Nick contacted him to check if his elbow was ok.

Kelly is the one i think we're into.
Makes sense.
FA and keep our picks = Mini rebuild.

We have plenty of picks this year to broker a trade. However I would be happy for us to go hard at the draft, and avoid a hawthorn situation. A free agent would be the cherry on top.

Pretty sure he is an RFA. If so, Giants have set the precedent with Cameron and will match. We will have to use those 2 first rounders at a minimum.

That’s probably why we did the swap with Cats. Kelly is a gun. I don’t think we appreciate how good he really is, kind of like Dion and Lynch. He would become a fan favourite in no time at all.

I have no doubt we did the swap as we have a big fish on the hook. Just not sure who it is.

I agree that Kelly would be a better player in a Richmond side. Would be one of the absolute elite players of the competition. I think he would be an easier target for us to land than Bont or Cripps. Really hard to see Bont leaving the Dogs when he is captain.

I don’t reckon Kelly can be an elite talent if he’s your best player.

But if he’s your second or third best player he could be the best player in the game.
Maybe Kelly needs a club like RFC so he can take that next step

Cam Guthries not a bad player.

Runs all day one of their few.
I agree, could do a lot worse than Guthrie and wouldn't demand the kitchen sink of a Bontempelli or Cripps. Can't really see either of them leaving their respective clubs anyway.

Bleurgh. Already got way better role players than the little hairy moggie. Woftam even contemplating someone of his ilk.

Not sure the club is in the position of shelling out large shekels for a " superstar " to lift us into the " finals / flag " window. We're already smack bang in that area with a raft of damn good 21 to 26 y.o. players plus some up n comers to keep us in the window for the next few years.
Perfect opportunity for mine to raid the crap out of a fat draft at years end and give another crop of youngsters a couple of seasons learning their craft off the very best and then stepping up after a proper apprenticeship and keeping us at the top of the ladder chasing flags for another ten years or more.

I might hang plenty of *smile* on the Moggies, it's a hard earned hatred from all the floggings they gave us from the eighties onward. But I do respect ( without admitting it anywhere near a mealy mouthed moggies supporting rello ) the fact that they've been able to contest finals for about the last 16 to 17 years with only one or two blip years.
I'd hate for the club to be pushing out honest hard working long term team players just for the sake of trying to squeeze in one more star player and breaking up the fabric of everything Richmond that Benny, Dimma n Cotch have built over recent years.
It's a delicate balance keeping 40 players on the list happy enough with their earnings, match opportunities, finals aspirations, mate ships and most importantly their feeling of being wanted and needed within the group. Get it wrong n you can blow a big hole in " team " very quickly.

I reckon we are into Kelly
With Kelly where does he play?
Wings are out cos we have big ugly brutes there.
In the guts its Dusty Shedda Dion Shai JackG and the skipper. All about the contest.
Not that I dont rate Kelly and acknowledge he is a 2 way runner that we like, but where does he play?
And why pay so much for a (very good) change mid?
