As claw said it's very easy to separate a fool and his money and why the TAB shareholders are very rich.
The bet is basically what are the odds of Simmonds, Richo, Brown, Coughlan, Bowden all being injury free for the whole year and being able to get a pre season in and play 20 games each in 2008.
The odds of that happening are not very high. Simmonds is on a modified program. A little tweak for him now and suddenly its March and he has no genuine base fitness to play the year out.
Supporters seem to always envisage best case scenario for everybody. The kids all come through and anyone with an injury will recover. Veterans will be able to go on.

I find it funny we have the same odds to make the 8 as we do the spoon, I would be looking for at least $6-$8 for the 8.
All I can say is that I hope your misses approved the punt AY as I don't think she'll be getting any mink coat come September
