PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

When Terry took over I was the first to say he was the man for the job, and look I still think he could be.

But there was one promise he made to supporters when he took over and that was "Attacking footy that results in us scoring 100+ points per game" regardless of where our postion was on the ladder and who we were playing. For once in my life with this club (being only 28) I was excited at the future ahead and that this club will again be a powerhouse as it was back when i was born.

A flick thru the stats in the last 2 seasons shows we have scored 100 points per game on the following occasions

2006
Round 9 - Geelong
Round 11 - Kangaroos
Round 19 - Brisbane
Round 20 - Carlton
Round 21 - Essendon

2007
Round 4 - Bulldogs

So 6 games of 100 plus points scored in 28 games of footy played and every one of them games we have scored 100+ points have been really against pretty poor teams.

On the other side we have bee beaten by 100 points almost as many times

2006
Round 1 - Bulldogs
Round 7 - Sydney
Round 17 - St Kilda
*****(Round 22 WCE beat us by 88 points but should have been more only they took the foot off the pedal to avoid injuries before finals)

2007
Round 6 - Geelong

For too long this club has blamed coaches for lack luster performances BUT if a coach is going to make a promise to the supporters then he has an obligation to fulfill it.

Unfortuntely Terry u have fallen well short on this promise, there is defiantly something going on inhouse that has resulted in no passion for the jumper, no pride for the club, too many times the last couple of years as soon as we are challenged and a team gets on top of us we just lay down like a St Kilda hooker and cop it. This club would never accept that in the 70's so why should it now.

The next few weeks should be very interesting
