only on their list until after the National Draft - they need to keep him on the list in case he sues them - it has something to do with the money if he sues them and what years funding it would come out of. If they let him go now then it would come from this years - if they wait it will be from next years or something like that anyway. In a nutshell - they would risk being over the salary cap if they let him go before the National Draft so they need to keep him on the list - but he has been deregistered by them. Does that make sense? Sorry if not and maybe someone else can explain it a little better!

he was granted an adjournment on his court case to attend rehab.
he was booked into rehab on monday and didn`t show up.

Really, well I dont think a rehab clinic would divulge whether a patient has booked, or will book in, or not, nor do I understand Cousins would have given his itenerary to journalists, so what exactly is your source for your allegation

so he`s missing from rehab,of course it`s going to be reported by the media.
all you people jumping to his defence should understand that he is a high profile afl player and a serial *smile* as well.
of course something like this will be reported by the media.
the media aren`t on a witch hunt,the worst journalist in the world could look good because of cousins because he does all the work for them.

it was for repeated breaches of his revised contract,the one ben cousins agreed to and signed off on.
he didn`t refuse a test from a patrol car,it was the organised crime squad who had him under surveillance.

According to his dad??? and SEN he has not missed any rehab appointment!! I don't think anyone is speaking here from any authority on what his adjournment conditions were or for that matter what he has actually done wrong in the last six months other than declining a drug test.

I'm sure if he is actually convicted of a drug offence that the AFL will not allow him to list in the PSD and the matter is closed for 12 months. However, I've never heard of a court adjourning a case, where supposedly the defendent is guilty of being high drugs and is is sent off to rehab before hearing the case!!?? Surely everyone can take a step back from the linching and wait until the facts come out. It's probably a bit too much to ask a journalist to do his job and finds out the facts!
