Went into the local AFL shop yesterday to check out the new gear.
Our new jumper is awful in my opinion.
It should be one of the proudest years in the clubs history and I think we have been let down.

The centenary logo is far to small, the contrast between the yellows looks unprofessional and it is very poorly laid out

Has anyone seen a planned clash jumper for this season (not that we need one) or the jumper for the Carlton game?

I'll regret it in a few years but I might skip buying this years jumper.

Very disappointing!

Merchandising is one area of administration which appears to be still dragging the chain badly at RFC.

Yeah this was mentioned a few weeks back...poor jumper design. Would have loved the centenary logo on the collar at the back or in the moddle of the sash. It looks too busy on the front with that logo added.

I know for a fact that the club has had more than one professional graphic designer offer their services to the club for nix, gratis, nada, nuffink, free. Whilst they're obviously happy to take their ideas on board (putting it politely), they seem reticent to take advantage of such offers and persist with whoever the hell it is that they're using.

Part of the problem, as I see it, is that certain factions employed at Punt Road seem firmly of the belief that if you're a Richmond supporter you're somehow inferior.

And now our jumpers - in a milestone year - look average and decidedly half-baked again. ::)

Cheers!
Ms Tantie.

I Personally havent seen the jumpers but for gods sake if this is the case yet again by the RFC marketing department then we desperately need change in there.

Damn good post Ms T.

How hard is it for a professional organisation to get these things right?
Honestly it's amateur hour when it comes to the graphic design skills down at the club.
The membership packs also look atrociously designed IMO.

I think () needs to take a good hard look at what he's doing. For starters he should have a look at the design of Rhett Bartlett's book for inspiration.

Not good enough. >:( >:(

"Wow, your story is very compelling, Mr. Jackass. I mean, uh, Simpson. So I'll just type it up on my invisible typewriter."

I think Chief Wiggum might be the head of our marketing department.
