Geez, Joel gets around a bit, doesn't he? I was reading the HUN yesterday and he's also representing Richmond in golf! In fact, he'll be playing the day after this cricket game...playing off for a chance to lead out the field at Huntingdale...which I think is the Masters.

Quite the sportsman, eh?

MIKE SMITH CUP 2006

hi all,
just found this on the Omega Cricket Club website. They hold this day every year and is an awesome chance to get up close and personal with all the Richmond boys. I was there last year and had a ball. Lids bowling lighting bolts, bowden brothers having a wack and just meeting all the boys. Awesome day!!!

hi all,
just found this on the Omega Cricket Club website.

Just found it twice so the threads have been merged.

Look forward to reading some reports of the game.

This is the same day as the young guns trying to get a place at Tigerland (rookie try out day?)

I didn't get to either but hope that there might be a report on both soon?

Was a great day!
From memory Lids top scored...don't quote me on that... a fine knock from Patto, Polak and White.
Lids also kept AND bowled (is there nothing this kid can't do?), it's obvious why Hookes wanted him to stick with cricket.
Also there were Joel, Cam, Weeble, Raines, Polo, Richo (a bit of a tailender ;D),Kelvin (with cute puppy "Gus"), Jacko, Angus, Cleve, Luke McG. I've probably forgotten a few, but I was busy socialising ;D.

Tiggy took some pics with her swish new camera so we may get some pics later on.....

Very enjoyable day, better than I expected. Must have been the company I keep :hihi

Have sent some of my pathetic attempts at photography to Rosy to see if she can post them later on. A great photo of weeble with the top of his head cut off ;D I also need to learn how to edit them as well but that will come later on...........................much later on.

I was worried about being hit on the scone myself TG, stuff the car ;D

Deledio's top went for $305 at auction and Rainsey's went for $260. It is amazing what a hot day and too many beers will do to people. Oh Polak's went for around $275 I think.
