2006 Player and Coaching Link-Locker Viewing Evening

That was great to have some of the players there this year, wasn't the case last year.

Thanks for the reports everyone, wish I could have been there.

A very good night.

Highlights (for me):

1. Club Director Rob Dalton telling me that his son has just been selected in the Sandy Dragons U15 squad. Excellent achievement.

2. As I walked out of the rooms, in the carpark, I was confronted by a voice calling out if I'd enjoyed the function. I immediately turned & responded positively. The face looked familiar, as we shook hands, but I couldn't put a name to his face.
He introduced himself as Garry Cameron.
Ahh yes! (The memories of that night at Telstra Dome 2 years ago came flooding back.)
He then responded that that was a long time ago, and for bygones.....
Yep. Why not.

Thanks Rosy. Great night.

Pleasure Phantom. Not always easy to let bygones be bygones but we're usually far better for it. Good on you and Garry. :hearton

Yep, one of the things you can lose/let go that makes you richer!

any photo's from the night?
I'm sure Tiggy would of had a camera

I knew   :hearton Staff  :hearton wouldn't be there, so no point taking a camera.

I don't think I will be invited back though, I spilt my glass of red wine on the floor, well mostly over me after I tripped  rushing to speak to Phantom.  How embarrassment, worse though I hadn't even had a sip  :-[

Had a great night and honour to be there.
Sorry only knew missing33 so good to catch up but didn't know anybody else so hopefully will get to know more people like your good self Ready.

Great report Ready :clap, great to be in the rooms for the first time I was awestruck especially in the locker room. Kingy did a great job loved watching him as a player (except against us) but oozes confidence and character and self belief and this is starting to show on the younger guys like Hydey, Polo and Rainesy. Said he didnt know Hydey when he came to the club except he played on him 3 times and Kingy was B.O.G 3 times :).

Did overhear Rainesy say at the moment he is in the Australian team for Ireland so Good luck Rainesy :clap :clap

Good to read all the papers up in the rooms and honour boards.

In the locker room there is a fines board with Browny, Roachy leading the fines.

Also the weeks stats from the coaches for the match against Carlton (tried to take photo with phone but cant read info) these are the stats matter to coaches like possesions per goals, possesion efficiency, 1st to ball, off ball stats etc. Foley lead nearly all of these.

Various memos from the footy manager on activities for players this week and functions etc to attend were all pinned up.

Listing of all players jobs/ studies they are doing. Sorry cant remember all but some are
Browny Fashion/Media
Stafford level 3 building
*smile* studying Croation
Hall studying Spanish
Chubba retail
Coughlan and Jackson studying commerce
Limbach at Limbach industries !!!
Richo - lounge room restaurant

Godd to see all the players at least having some off field activity to fall back on.

Great reading of the white board stats and also pin up of every possible stat in relation to Essendon players this week (wont say anymore as dont want to give away secrets.)

Great night to be in the inner sanctum.
Thanks Rosy for the invitation.

It was fascinating to be allowed into the 'inner sanctum', and great to catch up with friends and to put faces to a few PRE names like Hartbalme, Ready and Phantom. Rosy, many thanks for the opportunity to attend. :clap

I nearly took my camera, and regretted not doing so when I saw those fastest-over-20m-whiteboards (OK, I cannae help myself - GO WEEBLE! ;))

Cheers!
Ms Tantie.

Was anything said about our signed player photos and badges at the locker viewing? I e-mailed before the night asking for them to be mailed to me and I've e-mailed since enquiring about them. I haven't had any replies and I haven't received the photos to send out.

No mention that I can remember Rosy

Is this the players photo autographed by the player for his sponsor. I did see some in there ready for collection.

Yes.
I asked Rebecca about these, and she said that she'd be sending them direct to you.
If you haven't heard anything as yet, Rosy, I'd be giving Rebecca a call.
