Claw, or any other person from WA.

Can you keep us updated with the prgress of the WA juniors? There's some diamonds and we really should focus our attention there. In particular Rance, Pears, Myers, Masten, Palmer, McGinnity, Gourdis, Morton, Ellard, Jackey, Gartlett. Does anyone have details of which clubs they play for?
sorry harold due to continued work pressure im struggling to get to a game. seeing so little of players makes it hard to make correct calls.you are right about one thing though there are some diamonds.

Remember, getting Natanui means finishing last in 2008.

Note, at this point both Carlton & Melbourne also qualify for priorities in 2008.

Are Tiger supporters prepared to accept this?

Is this kid overrated? big body in his class range, able to dominate. Will he find it very difficult to compete with seasoned ruckmen, and how many years to develop?

Richmond may win two extra games and our pick will be No 2.

Personally, although Natanui has all the traits of being a first class ruckman, I reckon he can be a 198cm version of Adam Goodes/Pat Ryder.

CHF, CHB & ruck for good measure, in my mind.

Like all tall kids, 3-4 years to develop properly.

No miracles in list management.

well.....a 198 cm version of Adam Goodes/Pat Ryder who seems to be even more atheletic and still growing...gee..i like the sound of that.....get him in.....

he doesnt have the footy smarts that goodes had at the same time

more freak than pure talent

i still reckon he will be a ruckman

Phantom I hate to sound bleak but do you think that we are going to have a choice? What group of players in all honesty are coming through for us that is will substantially change our current fate? Kane, Joel, Richo and Simmons all get a year older and just a little bit further off the pace. Our young list gets a year older and that is nice but our track record in player development is quite frankly just horrible (fan's point of view not club insider) over the last ten years. Forgive me if I only expect incremental and not revolutionary improvement.

Good post Brett and one that has been bothering me a great deal for the past few days. We are miles off. Miiiiiiles.

Would love to finish last again next year. However you can bet that the AFL will change the rules on thre prioity pick and the Tigers will be cheated as they have been this year.

Also talk on the radio that Seaby is out of contract. I think he would be a good pick up in the draft. Could really blossom with more game time.

You want to finish last again?

Im with ya checkside, I want wins and lots of them. What is the pioint of continually finishing last nad trying to improve only to want to finish last again to try to get another player. Bad mindset.

Agree. Let's get the best in this year's draft, seriously look at our list, make the necessary changes, import any unsigned prospects and promote the young. Review again next year.

Just facing reality that in the next 5 years we are not a Premiership contender. May as well take our medicine get Natanui and then go for there and don't look back.

Don't take that loser attitude >:(

I'm not going to the games if we are gonna try and lose every week. >:(

Shawry - you talk as though we have a choice!!!
We are last by a mile as we have the worst list by a mile - there are no short term fixes for this.

Good chance of last next year as well - better than good chance.

Methinks that we may be better than last, with our current list.

But if we do have this promised end of year clean out, the priority is a very real possibility.

Players to look At.

I strongly suggest you look at the following players come draft time.

Rhys Clinton (SA)

Ryan Hobbs, Chris Kangars, Lachlan Henderson, Dawson Simpson (VC)

Kreuzer, Maric, Polkinghorne, Croft, Cotchin, (VM)

Masten, Palmer, Starling, Pears, Rance, Morton, Gourdis, McGinnity, Venturini (W.A)

Tom Frawley (NT)

Joseph, Bellchambers (TAS)

Searl Michael (North Ballarat VFL)

Gazzo, Silvestor, Robertson, Mullins (Coburg Tigers)

Colbert (Northern Bullants)

Delistment and Trades

These players do not deserve to be at the resurgent Tigers of the future. This is reality.

Delist: Hartigan, Moore, P.Bowden, Hall, Knobel, Kingsley, Krakeour, Tivendale, Jackson, Howat, and Hyde.

Trade: J. Bowden, Richardson, Johnson, Tuck, Pettifer, Schulz, Raines, McGuane, Newman.

20 players who will not be in a premiership side at Richmond. More than half our list has significant flaws and that is why we are no good at the present time.

I am telling you that these players should be flushed out over the next 2 seasons.

How I think the first round and a bit will go:

1. Richmond: Kreuzer
2. Melbourne: Cotchin
3. Carlton: Palmer
4. Adelaide: Masten
5. Fremantle: Rance
6. Brisbane: Morton
7. Essendon: Kangars
8. W.B: Henderson
9. ST Kilda: Pears
10. Haw: Grimes
11. Syd: Myers / Hobbs
12. Port: Ebert
13. WC: Vespresmi
14. Kang: Polkinghorne
15. Coll: Maric
16. Geelong: Bellchambers
17. Rich: McGinnity
18. Melb: McEvoy
19. Rich: (Trade for Cameron Wood) pick 19 and Raines or McGuane)
20. Melb: Gourdis

Our Draft Choices: Picks

1 / 2 Kreuzer / Masten
17 / 18 McGinnity
19 / 20 Cameron Wood (trade for pick 19 / 20 and Raines or McGuane.
35 / 36 Silvestor
51 / 52 Joseph / D. Simpson / (Ruckmen) Starling
67 / 68 Venturini / Searl / Croft
83 / 84 Searl / Croft

Rookies: King (maintained); Graham (elevated); Howat (delisted); Clingan (maintained).

Make this happen: Our Draft Choices: Picks

At trade time Offer Pettifer, Schulz and Tuck. Others are no good or have no currency. (Check it out though). Check players above. (Delistment / Trades section)

Pettifer (to St Kilda) 3rd Round Pick

So Draft Picks look like this.

35 / 36 Silvestor

3rd round picks Pies Simpson D. / (Ruckmen)
51 / 52 Venturini / Starling
4th round pick Dogs + Minson Croft
67 / 68 Searl
83 / 84. Gazzo

Rookies: King (maintained); Graham (elevated); Howat (delisted); Clingan (maintained).

2 picks: Mullins and Robertson (Coburg Tigers)

PSD: Meesan

Sides for next year if my trade scenarios are taken on board:

C. Meyer Collins Peterson

HF. Dagher *Graham Mullins

Geez youd waste a draft pick on Silvestor ......................... let alone 35 or 36 which could get Chris Kangars.

Mate Silvester is not AFL standard.
