2007 draftees

My apologies i didnt read that section i admit - i went straight to Tiger picks. :P

I believe the Cats are hot for Kangars but some very knowledgeable posters and some others ive spoken to in the know reckon Kangars may be one of quality that could very well slip to the 30s, its all heresay obviously, and the draft camp will tell the tale.

Chris may go high but if hes around at 30 odd the tigers would best take him , unless they could trade up to nab a Rance or the like.

I like your ideas patters and the trades

But I think we would have too many rucks

Simmonds, Minson, Wood, Meesen, Pattison, Graham, Simpson and maybe Kreuzer (if I have that correct?)

Also think Silvestor is a bit high, if we wanted to get him why not use a much lower pick?

I'm glad someone else rates McGinnity.

If we go tall with our first pick we should consider McGinnity with our 2nd or 3rd pick.

two players no one has really talked up or has us taking are henderson and vespremi. could vespremi be there at 17 18. henderson was injured prior to the championships i havent heard much on him how is he going vespremi as well.

Clawsy i reckon Veszpremi will be available at 17 or 18 but id take a Zac Miller if still available ahead of Pat.

Phantom reckons Pat has a lack of aerobic capacity..... i am not sure and am happy to take Phantoms word on it.

Veszpremi could drop further, depends on draft camp but the kid can play.

I reckon Henderson will go before our second pick unless we can trade up for another 1st rounder (unlikely tho).

With Riewoldt Cleve and Schuloz if he stays i doubt Wallet will go another key forward however many in the know rate Henderson very highly. Simpson also is in this bracket would be handy and possibly may be available at second pick.

Id like for the Tigers to go for Rance to fill the breach at FB, what are your thoughts on him.

based on the little i have seen of juniors this yr i would rate rance the best kp prospect in the state was very impressed with him at the championships and liked what i saw of him previously.morton and palmer are the other 2 i like. based on what i have seen this yr and thats not a lot would take palmer in front of cotchin.saw a bit of palmer last yr and liked what i saw. saw rance play against south freo colts as a nearly 16 yo in 05 did some nice things. imo rance will go in the top 5 or 7 but that opinion is a bit uninformed this yr.

evo notte has stood out query over kicking and his body shape.

Played pretty well at CHB in the champs. He is only bottom age and has a pretty big body for his age but he is listed at 192cms and i dont really think we need another McGuane, Thursfield, Riewoldt, Hughes, Schulz sized player.

Morton :boldyellow ;D

Not for us - he's that in between size - not a big KP and not a strong inside mid. A flanker.

Pass.

Would choose Palmer, Masten, and Rance way before him.
