2007 - Make or break for...

Interesting you mention Schulz as having a make or break year next year.  Polak would have to be in the same boat.  Had he stayed at Freo and had another poor year like this year, he would have been most likely delisted at the end of 2007.

Not much seperating Schulz and Polak in terms of age, size and performance, yet one is on his "make or break year" while the other is on a 3 year contract.

One "make or break schulz" is enough, I would have thought.  We just added another.

Don't howl me down, just puting things into perspective.
Harry which Schulz are you watching, I have been following the one at the tigers.

Casserly - injury free and into it is what we want from Trav, rated highly and 6-8 games from him would be a good return.
Bit harsh on the kid

Not going Trav there Skippa just stating we want him injury free and playing footy, as he may be an exciting addition to the side at some stage hopefully in 07 and can play at least 6 to 8 games, that would be a very good result for Trav.

Hartigan would have to consider himself lucky to be part of our 07 squad. If he doesn't get cut this year I will be surprised if he plays more than a handful of games next year. Hope he can prove me wrong but he doesn't seem to have the footy smarts to succeed in a TW coached team.

I agree with all bar 2 TOO.  Meyer is a baby.  I'd give him more time.  Nathan Brown is a Lambourgine amongst corollas at Tigerland at present.  Along with Richo, one of the two best players we have and would be in the top 5 at any club I reckon.

Richo, if he doesn't bag a century in 07 I reckon he will be gone by 010

I've said "With question marks", perhaps it doesn't read as well as it should.

General, I'm a fan of Brent & I was amazed when he got dropped after the Adelaide victory earlier in the year.

It has been suggested in many quarters that Harts was dumped by TW because of his inability to follow the gameplan.
It certainly didn't appear to be linked to his form as he'd had a very solid start to the year, so it had to be something else.

I believe the word out from Andy Collins and Coburg was similar.

Harts is a dasher but persistent injuries, average disposal and the above-mentioned problem seem to have stalled his progress. Deledio on half-back and the emergence of Polo, Raines and Foley also hurt his chances.

I agree it is a make or break year for Harts - don't believe he will make it at this stage.

Struggling with how Kelvin Moore hasn't got a mention. I'd have delisted him this year. Would have thought he and Knoble are at the most risk.

Good summary Oldie.

As stated ad nauseum some blokes who may be playing for their careers shoulda already had them terminated but antways my list of make or breaks.

Schulz - As Oldie said, more intensity, consistency, effort and impact are required.

Krakouer - more impact and intensity required from Krak, needs his best season ever in 07 to survive at the club past 07.

Hartigan - Usurped by Raines, Foley and Polo is gonna have to fight hard for a spot with Brown, Cogs, Thursty  and Newman to return there may very well not be one for him.

McGuane - one year contract i presume for 07 its time to show somthing

Jackson - critical year for him if he survives the chop chop, not cementing a spot in the side will see him delisted at end of 07. As with Hartigan getting a spot in the side is gonna be a big enough task for him to begin with.

Blinga and Meyer - also must go up another gear with Bling showing more tyhis season another gear from him will be invaluable to the side. Danny must get intense, i rate him and like him but at year 3 the time has come for him to step it up, has the pace , skills and smarts to have a major impact over the next few years.

Pattison - just another step up for him will be expected, not required to dominate but definately needs to go up a level learning his future ruck trade. Pattos development is crucial to the future of the club with him desiganetd as Simmos protege.
Knobel will be retained to assist Simmo and provide ruck cover and depth.

Casserly - injury free and into it is what we want from Trav, rated highly and 6-8 games from him would be a good return.

Hyde - Hall and Tivendale - all for the chop chop at years end once and for all please after they are moved out of the side once and for all by the likes of Meyer, Jon, Casserly, White, Polak and Thursty.

Maybe bit harsh but Moore and Limbach should already be gone.

You forgot your whipping boys Pettifer, Foley and Polo ;D ;)

Oh Lambsy dear Lambsy .... i have long since apologised and admitted to getting it wrong on Polo but i can certainly say i wasnt alonewith him and he aint a whipping boy of mine and neither is Foley. Certainly have put my hand up to accept the admonishing i got for my rants on Dean in his first year, but geez he couldnt get a kick in a street fight at Coburg, so wasnt alot on face value to appreciate early in the piece.

Am happy to see Foley get a go cos he busts his arse and wins contested footy which i like, i just was worried bout his height or lack of, but never has Axel been a whipping boy of mine.

Pettifer ... Ol Cameo himself, cant stand the sook and would not lose one wink of sleep if he was cut tomorrow sadly i am resigned to the fact it is not gonna happen therefore i cant be bothered wasting time, and energy on him, thats why i been quiet on him.

Tivendale, Hyde, Hall, are 3 more of my favourites that if axed would allow me to sleep  better at night rather than waking sweating and horrified cos i wake and realise that they are still at the club too dont forget. ;)

Another line in that song isn't true though.
'I can always find someone to say they sympathise, if I wear my heart out on my sleeve.'
Billy Joel what a legend! Concert 10th of November looking forward to it.
