These are similar odds to those that have been listed in the paper over the last few days.
As a betting man, I have had an objective look at them all and provided my comments on each of the bets.

FLAG MARKET
1. WCE $4 – hard to go past club with young list and two GFs, a good thing.
2. Adelaide $5 – best drilled team in the comp with an awesome coach, a worthy second.
3. Sydney $6 – nearly won two in a row and are tough as nails.
4. St Kilda $9 – could be the AFL’s great pretenders, but who will be in the coaches box?
5. Fremantle $10 – on the rise with a big boost from late 2006 form.
6. Melbourne $10 – could this be there year, a good bet at this price!
7. Western Bulldogs $12 – how good were the injured players, we will find out in 07!
8. Geelong $15 – great price for a good team, but are they any good?
9. Port Adelaide $15 – forget about it!
10. Collingwood $16 – great start to last year but need to insert pace into midfield.
11. Hawthorn $20 – a team on the rise, but is the slope too steep for 2007?
12. Richmond $35 – odds look good, but getting into the ‘academic’ area of betting!
13. Brisbane $50 – probably the best value outside the top 8, but won’t win it!
14. Essendon $55 – give your money to charity!
15. Kangaroos $81 – the first of the post shinboner odds!
16. Carlton $101 – put a tener on this just to have the ticket as a keep sake!
In summary, I would say that we have been ranked poorly by the bookies! But this shouldn’t surprise us!
The first six provide value, and the rest simply can’t win it. Will have to have a look at some of the other odds to see what else is happening!
