this is close to the team i would like to see but alas it wont happen for various reasons i suppose its a dream team just not for 2007. tba means we have to recruit them still. # means players who should be capable of rotating thru midfield onball.there are other weaknesses but ive tried to utilise players currently on the list.
Four players that we don't even have yet and six kids who have none or a couple of games under the belt.
Thats not a dream Claw thats a flamin nightmare. Might just as well put in some names like Judd and J. Brown etc. to fill the gaps and claim you dreamt we were gunna draft 'em at the end of the season.
is it a dream team or best player available team or what. the bowdens and others are not there because i dont rate them if i put them in it wouldnt be a dream team. also i did say it wasnt a 2007 dream team. besides any team without hall polak gaspar tivendale krakouer hyde schulz pettifer knobel and p bowden has to be a better team long term. heres hoping most of the younger blokes force them out this yr.

The heading is 2007 Tigers dream team, so I would guess pick from those available on our 07 list.
If you really wanted to dream about what we should or could have then we might dream about adding a retro Jack or Royce or St. Francis to the team.
Not to much into wishlists or predictions about players myself. Rather just follow them as they develop and compete on matchday.

Im sure I have done one on another thread but with injury an form this is how I see RD1 at this stage

B Raines *smile* J Bowden

HB Deledio Polak Casserly

C Polo Tuck Tambling

HF Pettifer Richardson Kingsley

FF Brown Shultz Krakouer/Meyer

R Simmonds Johnson Foley

Newman Pattison P Bowden White

I personally would give Meyer a go in front of Krakouer but Im sure Krak will be in RD1 team,I've named Simo but he may not play so Knobel would come in an I also think Tiva will play an I wont be shocked if Hughes gets a game.

Its a bloody hard task

Tigers have got a lot of injuries so I am going to do a Rd 15 Team which assumes everyone is available and now fully fit (yes thats a joke - but I can dream, seems to work for Sydney every year though)

B:   Newman, Moore, Raines
HB: Thursfield, Polak, BowdenJ
C:   Deledio, Tuck, Tambling
HF: Pettifer, Richardson, Kingsley
FF: Brown, Schulz, Meyer
R:   Simmonds, Johnson, Foley
Int: Pattison, Coughlan, BowdenP, Polo
Em: Hyde, White, Krak, JON

I think the only interesting selection is that of Moore.  By Rd 15 surely we will be trialling a replacement full back for Gas.  Who else is there?  It could be Thursfield I suppose which would leave his halfback spot open for Casserley/JON/White/or Moore.

I just realised I left out Tivva (you always forget one - not intentional ;D). For all I bag the guy from a long term perspective, I am not stupid, I know Tivva will get a game if fit in 07, but if all these players are playing to reasonable form - who in a dream team midfield/bench rotation does he displace?

Reckon that team looks pretty good! only change i would make or hope for by round 15 would be that riewoldt or hughes would have replaced kingsly. As everyone can see by doing this exercise its getting harder each year.
Everyone feels as tho they should have tivve in. I don't i think if tivva and hall still are getting a game that we still haven't progressed that far.

OK here is, IMO our best side.

B: Chris Newman, Darren Gaspar, Andrew Raines
HB: Joel Bowden, Graham Polak, Chris Hyde
C: Greg Tivendale, Shane Tuck, Brett Deledio

F: Nathan Brown, Matthew Richardson, Andrew Krakouer

This, for mine, would be our best side for Rd 1 with no injuries.
However by the end of the year I would expect at least 3 juniors to have pushed into the side.

Backs: Raines Thursfield Newman
Half Backs: J. Bowden Polak Polo
Centre: Tambling Coughlan Deledio
Half Fwds: Pettifer Richo Hyde
Full Fwds: Brown Schulz Hughes
Rucks: Simmonds Tuck Foley
Int: Pattison Johnson White P. Bowden
Emerg: Krakouer Casserley Meyer

Richo to play 30 - 40 metres from goal
Schulz to help out down back if required
Johnson to tag opposition best midfielder
