I think most of us on PRE are in for the LONG haul.

I certainly am not giving up on the mighty Tiges!

Due to our lack of success its getting harder an harder to keep sponsors so its as important as ever to stay members.......Just remember Fiztroy

Yes, I will buy a membership in 2008, and 2009 and 2010 and 2011 and so on. I'm not going to jump ship now, then skulk back on board the bandwagon when the club turns things around. Fair weather supporters give me the sh!ts.
Agree 100%. Jumping off ships and skulking back when things turn around is done by Collingwood supporters.

I feel for the very young tiger cub supporters, the parents must be ashamed of themselves for 'forcing' their kids to barrack for the Tigers.

It will teach them about adversity. This is a good thing.

Oh yeah my answer to the poll is a resounding yes.

Yes, of course I will buy a 2008 membership but a 2009 one? As I have stated before, if the club dare say yet again we need to rebuild well that will be the straw that breaks the camels back. How many half arsed rebuilds have we had since 1982? How many coaches have come saying "be patient, I need to rebuild". If they dare take that path again I will then use my membership money maybe on an orphan in Africa or some other worthwhile cause, at least then it would have been used to make a real difference.

At some point a parent needs to use discipline to get the message across to a petulant child that just doesn't get it. I think 20 years of unquestioning financial loyalty gives me the right to say "enough is enough little boy!". I hope it doesn't come to that. I hope TW and Miller are not just fully of *smile*. This is our worst season EVER, there had better be some serious improvement next year I can tell you. If not, then I'll be the one to go down there with a truck load of chickensh!t!! Time for the CLUB to start performing for those that bleed yellow and black. Mediocrity is NOT good enough for my club.

I was actually debating this point in my mind before todays game (eg last night) - and had pretty much decided not to renew my "Country 5"

A range of reasons:

(a) I live in Sydney (have done so for 20+ yrs)
(b) I am an MCC member, hence the Tiger membership doesn't offer me anything (except my beloved Tiger Skin!!!!)
(c) I'm tired of the supporter base being the only people "held accountable".

If 1000 members decide not to renew, then thats only approx $200,000 missing from the financial line. Take it from the players wages! I'm not talking the Cubs coming through - but - the hacks who still can't hit a target / play with passion / etc etc

All those on here who wax lyrical about "fair weather supporters" and "bandwagons" and "supporters not followers" - GET OVER IT!

It's that sort of "ostrich in the sand" CRAP that has us bottom of the ladder!

At the end of the day, football is about winning! It is about success - and it is about being held accountable.

I fully support Terry's tenure. We signed him for 5yrs and he should serve out his contract - BUT - the same players of mediocrity trotting out each week is unacceptable.

So BEFORE we dip into our pockets to prop up these over inflated hacks for another season - I say - let's see them dip into their's!

Not a cent from me next year.

Thanks guys for helping me make my mind up.

PS - Here in Sydney the game wasn't telecast so I got updates via the mobile.
PPS - did this once before - when they sacked Knights - our last skilled player (aside from Browny)

Don't understand why people would'nt sign up again. Well i do ... but just look at the list, so young, so skillful, great coaches, 2011 PEOPLE! Just think about it. ;)

I'll get myself a membership, but it's getting to the point that in the not too distant future I won't be a member anymore if we are still the basketcase of the AFL

All 2007 members should be given the chance to purchase their 2008 membership for half price. We Suffered now the club should!
