You and JB03 should book the honeymoon suite out at the Hyatt in anticipation for the big day.

Nothing wrong with being optomistic, much better than being Diggler I'd reckon. Don't agree with the placement of several positions but if youthful enthusiasm and attitude has anything to do with it, then we can win the flag in 08. Just how much of this game is played above the shoulders. Ok, no doubt that we have some underachievers but the number has diminished greatly this year.

Plough obviously thinks that we are getting closer to the right combination with the drafting of Kingsley and whilst the merits of this choice are debatable. Anyone who has kicked 50 goals in a season twice is not a dud and will add some value.

Keep the dream alive Raisey I'll like where you are going with it.

2008 PREMIERSHIP TEAM ( updated 20-12-06 )

Backs:  Newman Gaspar J.Bowden

Half Backs : Raines Polak Polo

Centres : White Johnson Foley

Half Forwards : Richardson Pattison Hyde

Forwards : Brown Schulz Tambling

Followers : Simmonds Tuck

Rover : Deledio

Interchange from : Thursfield, Pettifer, P.Bowden, Kingsley, Howat, Meyer, Krakouer, Coughlan, Hall, Tivendale, Knobel, Jackson, Hartigan, Oakley-Nicholls, McGuane, Hughes, Casserly, Graham, Riewoldt, Edwards, Peterson, Connors, Moore, Collins, Clingan, King

One thing for sure is that we will be winning the VFL premiership this year...just look at our depth...Wallace has the luxury of omitting players for poor form knowing he has adequate replacements with senior experience. We need this depth to cover the odd injury we'll have.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL...CAN'T WAIT FOR 2007...THE YEAR WE PLAY FINALS FOOTY AGAIN

RainsyBaby

I hate to spoil your Xmas fantasy, but if that is the best side the club can field, you will be spending your last day
saturday in september 2008 on this forum, speculating on who will be coaching Richmond in 2009 after
Wallace is sacked!!!!
At least 12 players on your list will be either retired or playing suburban football.
If you like, I can name them, but they are already duds and everyone knows who they are!!!

Give me a break..

With the exception of the midfield/ruck my side can be expected to eat this mob. More passion, greater improvement and better coaching. Younger, stronger and Brown, Richo, Coughlan, Riewoldt, Deledio and Tambling all with the X factor, to get us over the line.

Had another change of heart...a few positional changes...forgot this thread is to forecast the 2008 premiership side...I doubt Gaspar and Johnson can hold their spots to some talented kids come September 2008...Sugar off the bench is a possibility...we have got so much depth now.

p.s Rosy updated that Tigerlove thread
