The only good thing about the skunks winning today and i mean the only thing!...is that there are still 4 teams yet to win an AFL flag with a premiership drought over 30+ years...us 1980, Saints66, Dees64 and Bulldogs54 :-[.... and out of the four of us we have been the worst performed in the last 30.
So imagine the Dogs had of won one in there last few attemps and the Saints had of won today?... that would leave only us and Melbourne!...Yep you guessed it, they are ahead of us at the moment and pressure (even more than usual) would be on us again.

The Saints could have really used a Tambling today. Absolutely no flair at all. I agree the Saints window could be closing, and it might close even quicker if players start to get sick of the 'robotic, ultra-defensive "Saints footy"'.
Pity they don't have pick 16 this year to trade for him.

You dont get it TF...this thread is about being happy the Pies won!... its bad enough we have not won a AFL premiership, let alone (not) winning one in the last 30, imagine being the only team not too :-[.
My point is i would rather the Pies win the next 3 (or any other team) rather than the Dogs, Saints or Dees win one before us.

Heard somewhere that there is only one set of HD cameras and all the networks share them. Channel 7 couldn't get access to them. I presume they are in Sydney for the NRL.

Even though the Saints fought back in the 2nd half of GF-1, while watching the GF-2 I was wondering whether Ross Lyon has actually coached the passion OUT of his team. Not passion to win. But angry passion at the ball and opponent.
Only Lenny Hayes & Goddard had a passionate angry crack for their team in GF2.

Firstly I must admit it's hard to find much to be happy about Collingwood winning.
However, I do find the continuation of the St Kilda curse amusing though. They have one premiership to their credit in over a hundred years of competition: a point victory thanks to a grubbing kick almost half a century ago. They play three grand finals in two years, come excruciatingly close in two of them, and they get blown off the park in the third. Oh and don't forget the 27 wooden spoons. Can you imagine the neurosis they must be feeling at Saintsational right now? We think we're a stoic hardy lot here at Punt Road End, well we've got nothing on them.
As Judge James L. Petigru (a Southern Unionist) famously described South Carolina when it seceeded from the American Union, "too small for a republic and too large for an insane asylum." Well that's St Kilda to a T...you just got to laugh...I guess? :-\

Correct....but I bet someone here will suggest we grab that stumbling, no peripheral vision, list clogger, Kosi.
If the Saints offload him...please Richmond don't entertain any thoughts of grabbing Kosi.
