2011 Jack Dyer Medal vs 2011 PREmier Fighting Tiger Award

RICHMOND FC PLAYER PUNT ROAD END DIFFERENCE
1 Trent Cotchin 1 -
2 Brett Deledio 4 -2
3 Dustin Martin 2 +1
4 Bachar Houli 6 -2
5 Tyrone Vickery 9 -4
=6 Alex Rance 5 +1
=6 Robin Nahas 3 +3
8 Nathan Foley 7 +1
9 Jack Riewoldt 8 +1
10 Shaun Grigg 10 -

Looking at this table it is clear that the PRE voters rated the same 10 players as the RFC coaching staff in 2011. The only real discrepancies were the PRE crowd slightly underrated Lids’ and Vickery seasons and overrated Nahas’ season in comparison to the coaching staff. Overall, not too much of a difference though.

Well that wraps up the PREmier Fighting Tiger Awards thread for 2011. Many thanks to the 138 PRE members that contributed to the polls this year.

Congratulations to Cotchin on a well deserved win in 2011!

Apologies on the delay in posting these awards. Sometimes real life rears its head and PRE has to take a backseat! I wanted to make sure I had them up before the Grand Final, so I managed to scrape it in.

I’d like to thank those that contributed match reports this year, especially Streak for his many reports/offers and Rosy for drumming up support (and a nice match report herself). I am not sure how these awards will be formatted in 2012, but I will let you know before the season begins. The guest reporting was almost more work than preparing them myself!

As always, feedback, comments and suggestions are appreciated.

I can’t wait for the 2012 season as I feel like there is something building with the current group. Let’s hope the summer flies by!

Carn’ the Tiges!

Thank you so much for the extraordinary effort PT.
Hell of a lot of work has gone into that, I know I appreciate all your efforts as the above posters have also remarked.
One of the most looked forward to and impressive works on PRE. :clap

Thanks PT. I've been looking forward to these results for ages...it has to be the most thorough analysis of votes anywhere.

Congratulations to the Chimp, whom we all love and of course Dustin Martin and Robbie Nahas, who were also Tiger stars in 2011.

Fascinating to see that Lids was the most consistent poller of votes. He is such a valuable player. Also interesting to note just how many players consistently received votes.

PT - I really value your intelligent input on PRE. Thanks for all the time you have spent collating these numbers.

Absolutely awesome effort Panthera. Thanks heaps. :clapping

Hopefully everyone who appreciates the wonderful, albeit incredibly time consuming, job you do will consider helping out by writing a report next year if you continue to do the vote thread.  A couple of dozen PREnders writing one report each a year isn't a bit ask.

It's a bit like being asked to follow a consummate performer on stage - Panthera's slayed 'em with his efficient yet informative style, and whatever follows will seem inferior.

Well done Panthera on another edition of what is one of PRE's great virtues.

Yep I felt that way when i wrote mine but I'm sure nobody judges the reports. It would be a terrible shame to lose such a wonderful asset of this site due to lack of support. It's a massive job for one person to do it all each week.
