Adrian Dodoro of stated there would be an announcement shortly regarding the Ryder deal - not sure if that means today or tomorrow.

Stated he believed Howlett would remain at Essendon.

Update, Bombers have informed Port they would prefer a player opposed to their 1stround pick for Ryder.

I heard they've asked for Hartlett. ;D

Richmond attended the trade centre very punctually this morning at 930am.
They have consistently adhered to the principle of not releasing any information.
I hope they are releasing some information to the other clubs or we won't have much to discuss or catastrophise over.

With the current climate of widespread bogan teen parents coming up with increasingly bizarre first names: nothing would surprise.

If Jack married Afeelia, would they name their daughter "Anita"??

Greenwood, Armitage & Winderlich - why do we persist with B graders when what we need is another A grade mid.

Picking more B graders on the cheap & just using mid round draft picks is not going to turn us into a premiership team. If there is one thing we learned this year it is that we don't have a top 4 list. Taking some risks is the only way we'll get there. We need to grow some balls & go after Dangerfield or a similar A grader - look at Haw that is how you build a premiership team.

Not sure Hawthorn did do that that though. They drafted a core of Franklin, Lewis, Roughead, Mitchell, Hodge, Birchall and Rioli and then kept supplementing that with trades like Burgoyne and McEvoy, draft picks and rookies like Suckling, Langford and Breust.

We need to have some true success with our core of Cotchin, Martin, Deledio, Riewoldt, Rance, Ellis and Vlastuin and then the big fish and trade targets will come.

Meanwhile Malceski becomes a Sun for the next three years. The AFL will be pleased with that trade.
Good to see the swans lose one. Good get for the suns.

Agreed. Hawthorn may have won on the big day because they have a great team, but they made it there because they have a good - and deep - squad. Adding a shiny, expensive superstar to a partially built squad always ends in tears, especially when it involves giving away multiple draft picks. We, of all clubs, should understand how strengthening a team can weaken a squad through this approach. We need to keep drafting until we're deeper IMO.

Frawley joins other spuds (Hale, Gunston, Gibson, Burgoyne etc etc ) at Hawkers who all have Premiership medallions . In the mean time Tigers have invested in Artichokes who all appear to choke come first week in September. Dan Richardson Tiger list guru stated on 08 June 2014 " Tigers have bucket full of money to pursue high profile players come Free Agency etc etc 2014 " . What is the use of having a bucket full of money when no one of note wants to move to Punt Road eg young guys GWS Zatche & Swans Membrey preferring Blues & Saints. Deep down gotta be something amiss at Tigerland. In the 8 last two years, prime location when compared to Seaford yet Tigers appear to have Ebola.
