Richmond were once a proud club and the most feared predator in the VFL AFL jungle. They had it all toughness courage ability talent success.
Richmond have not played football since the 2nd quarter of the 1982 Grand Final.
How can you expect them to play football on Saturday.

The club in its infinite wisdom will commemorate this landmark in September by having a gala dinner to signify the quarter of the century that has passed by with the footy club not actually playing football. All coaches since then will be in attendance except for the deceased Mike Peterson who coached the club in 1984.

Also past players will attend some of the great names to grace Hollywood Palace Souvlaki shop on Bridge Road Richmond were the ceremony will take place are:

MC for the night will be owner of Hollywood Palace Uncle Jim, a long time Richmond sufferer and supporter. Ticket prices are 15 dollars which includes your lamb or chicken souvlaki and a soft drink but no napkin. Napkins will incur a $2 surcharge.
Places are limited so for your once in a generation opportunity hurry up and snap up your tickets. Something like this won't come around again till 2032 when the club will celebrate the 50th anniversary of not playing footy.
