On 3aw yesterday it was mentioned that since the final 8 came into play 3 sides in the top 8 fallout the following year.
Who do you think will be the In,s & Out,s.

Mine:
Personally i think there will be only 2 changes at best next year.
IN:Geelong & [Port]
OUT:Collingwood & [Melbourne]

There is a fair dinkum chasm between the top and the bottom eight IMHO. Sure the Tiges were competative at times but still a way off deserving Top 8 status - but with inequities of the draw, anything is possible each year.

Geelong maybe, of any of em, to step up, Collingwood maybe to drop out.

IN :Richmond (now that goes with out saying) Geelong,Dawks
Out: Melbourne, Sucmwood, Freo

in.... richmond ,essendon, port out......saints ,melbourne , collingwood

cant c much difference between 06-07. maybe cats for scums (where they will get their goals from who knows)?

Expect to see two standouts at the top of the table, a futher two consistent performers at positions 3 & 4 (but lacking some vital ingrediants to go all the way), two very good home & away sides making up positions 5 & 6 and then...six teams all contesting the next available positions.

- Hawthorn, Richmond, Collingwood, Essendon, Port Adelaide are all in transition
- St Kilda may also fall into this bracket, largely due to off-field restructuring
- Geelong are capable and perhaps more advanced than the first group
- Port should find leadership with the return of a fit Tredrea
- Forget about Kangaroos & Carlton

I say 2 in - 2 out: Geelong & Port in, St Kilda & Collingwood out.

I cant see St Kilda out, I hope they do slide out because I dont like them but cant see it happening due to the Honeymoon phase they will be in next year with Ross Lyon.

In: Richmond. ( I hope )
Port
Geelong

Out: Collingwood
Melbourne
Fremantle

I think melbourne will finish in the top 6.

IN: Port
OUT: Collingwood

I agree with this. Some suggesting Fremantle out probably forgetting they were the best performed side in the last half of the season.

Im like many others an feel there wont be many changes,I think if things go our way we can make it in the 8 an im sure if things do or dont go the right way for other teams that will have a big bearing on there seasons as well

in .. richmond
out .. collingwood

sliders .. adelaide , stkilda , collingwood
improvers ..richmond , geelong , hawthorn

Can't see the cats making it. Had an ok run with injury and their big men continually let them down.

God help them if Gary Ablett jnr and Chapman go down for long periods. 2006 was the norm for them. The previous couple of years their peak.

Expect Port to go up and perhaps Brisbane if they have a good run with injury - have some promising youngsters. Also the hawks.

I'd be worried about the Saints and one of WC, Swans, Adelaide and Freo will be a surprise slider.
