We have six 30 year olds on our list, when the new coach comes in next season how many of them will he clean out?
Personally i think Simmonds , Johnson and Bowden are in trouble or gone. Brown and Richo, maybe only one of them will survive under a new coach. Cousins is the only one i believe should be garunteed a spot on next years list. He represents the style of game we need to be playing(play on and run at all costs), i think he can help the new gaffer transform our list into what it should be. Players like Lids ,Bling, Cotchin, Jackson, White, Foley etc are all capable of doing it they just need the right people to help them emplement it.

I would keep Cousins if his body holds up for the rest of the year and perhaps Richo.

The rest should be punted.

Doubt any would be kept or perhaps want to continue hanging around a club going nowhere fast.
New coach, big BIG broom.
Perhaps the footy manager / list manager will do the job before the new coach signs on.
At this stage would be interested in considering offering Cuz a developmental coaching role for next year.

At this stage theres no reason why Cuz shouldnt play on next year. Id have him in charge of the midfield when on the ground

Any coach with half a pound of credibility will get rid of everyone over 30 plus 3-4 other hopeless players.

I don't think we'll have a say with Cousins. He'll be gone whether we like it or not.

Tough call, you've got to keep at least 1 and probably 2, so I'd want Cousins and Richardson (if his body can hold out) for next season. Both offer leadership and both bust their guts on the field. Problem is the slack arses will then sit back and we're back to square one.

Don't get rid of players that are motivated, want to win and will do what's necessary which includes the over 30's.

Get rid of the don't want to, can't do it, someone else can do it lot that are currently sitting at PR right now, there is at least 10 that could go right the hell
now.

As much as Tambling has been whipped from pillar to post in here, that's a ridiculous statement.

Yeah, you're right mate. If he turned 32 we wouldn't get much via a trade (hopefully with GC)

Lost it totally on Blinga Willo?

I certainly have.

Keep cuz, get rid of the rest. if they are gonna retire Richo they need to do it before a new coach comes in. That would place way too much pressure on the new bloke.

having said that, Blighty did it and survived and prospered at Adelaide.

agree 100%, although i would also dump cousins if his hammy's don't hold up.

Browny is not safe. He went ok in the first half but had a sprinkling of possessions and zero impact after half time.

Having all these older players at the pointy end has blown up in our faces.

If I was the new coach, I doubt I'd keep any of them and would delist or trade them all out.

I've no doubt, he was playing injured in the 2nd half....his groin was playing up and to his credit he was playing great footy in the 1st half. Not enough to keep him of course but you can see that he things the end is nigh too.

Kind of funny and painful end to the telecast up here in the northern tropics. We get a terrible delayed telecast on 10. They cue up 50 ads in a row etc, anyway after the game Walls says to Darcy 'does the new coach keep the over 30 players?' and named them. The it cut to 50 ads, then when they resumed, Darcy say 'to answer your Question Rob, No' Then the telecast cut off, cut to graphic and theme music. It amused me anyway.

Agree with what some others have said keep Cuz if his body can get him through the remainder of the year without any soft tissue injuries. Richo, well previously I have said that this should be his last year but I'll wait and see how he goes in his comeback later in the year until i make up my mind. There are genuine arguements for and against having Richo back next year.

The rest should be gone in one way or another - either delist or try and trade.

Zero point getting rid of them all.

They need to be looked at on an individual basis.

Richo & Cousins to stay as they are the two that can help the development of the younger teammates in there area.

Bowden the only other chance, the Vets list gives him an advantage. He will likely retire though.

BTW Brown was definately not fit either. Saying that his best football is behind him & he doesn't set the right example anyway. Leysy'd chop him.
