Richmond won their 2nd flag in 3 years and were about to set on an era of a team that played a gamestyle which set a benchmark for other teams in the 80,s and 90,s.....There were so many influential footy figures that cut their teeth in the VFL-AFL who learnt gained their knowledge from their association with the Richmond Football Club of this wonderful era.
Their-in lies the key to awakening the sleeping giant.
Forget about draft picks,trades,specialist coaches,the zone,stoppages,running the lines,getting numbers back and all of that crap.
Get back to wanting to WIN and playing for the JUMPER.....
And taking risks and daring to win.
Its pretty simple really.Kick a bigger score than the opposition.Thats what used to win us flags. ???
