PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

As Matty White's proud VP I'm really happy to read all the positive reports about him in regard to training and the Ballarat game.

I'm glad he's got #35 when he shows such a good attitude and determined work rate.

I know a number's just a number but Bondy was my favourite player and to me gave certain expectations when I see the number out there.  Newmo certainly did it proud too.

We all thought trading Bondy was the best thing but in hindsight, apart from his value as a trade, I doubt Otto contributed a whole lot more to our future than keeping Chris would have done.

There's no doubt Bondy would have given 100% in every game he played, something that's a tad questionable about Otto, and the spare change we had could have been spent on other players for the future (now)

No matter what Matty's career has ahead he's shown the right determination to give it everything he's got.  That's what #35 is about to me.

I'd be interested to know who else has worn #35 in our history?
