100% correct. Ottens has turned into a premiership players but we got two 1st round picks for him. Fair deal, not Geelong's fault that we stuffed up the picks. Of the other players traded, few have been super successful - even my Saints friends refer to Fiora as Fiona. Rodan was delisted rather than traded. Mistake - should have been Krakouer.

We've never been gutsy or aggresive enough to give up someting to get something. Given how badly that we recruit, even if we traded a player for an extra 1st round pick, would we use it to advantage anyway. Until we get the recruiting appointments right the answer would be no.

Truth is RFC overates its players and after getting nothing out of Jay after 5 years, and him being a VFL player in the most they think he is worth #16.

our players have no currency as we finished woefully on the bottom of the ladder and most of our list performed terribly. we should have blown up the team in 2001 or whenever it was that we finished 3rd and could get good picks for the gaspars and matty rogers of this world
