4 umpires in the NAB Cup. Should be interesting.
If it cuts down on the behind the play holding on by taggers, then all well and good. But for me personally where I get frustrated with umpires in today’s game, is for the free kicks they pay - not so much the ones they don’t.
With 4 umpires all looking to get their piece of the action, my fear is that we’ll see an increase in the frivolous frees the 3 of them are already prone to paying.
4 field umpires all looking for a piece of the action concerns me.
(Does anyone know if they went to the clubs with this ? Or don’t they have to given that its just the NAB Cup at this stage ?)
